I was also at that game in the Block O North student section as a freshman at OSU that season, and you’re absolutely correct. The eruption from The Shoe after Barrett hit Baugh in the end zone to take the lead still rings in my ears to this day, and the game will most likely be the greatest game I may ever personally witness in my lifetime. If you want to know the true definition of an instant classic, look no further than that game.

@@michaelmeden9117 That’s awesome! We all knew it was going to be a tough game when Saquon Barkley returned the opening kickoff back for a touchdown. Sam Hubbard tackling him and Trace McSorley at the same time in the backfield on the drive before OSU scored the winning touchdown was my favorite play of the game, and I have a framed picture of that moment with Hubbard’s autograph on it.

The 2022 OSU vs PSU game should be in there. We ran up 4 touchdowns at the end.
@jimmyplenderleith9471

I'm saying this as a PSU alum and a HUGE fan of the Lions.....you can't rank any 4th quarter routes vs Penn State high. Its the James Franklin era, falling apart in the 4th quarter comes standard every year since 2016. He is the best 3 quarter coach in America when playing top teams. PSU will give you everything they have and take a lead after 45 minutes. But that's where Coach Franklin draws the line, tells the guys "great job out there, you did great....now lets just relax, this fourth quarter stuff isnt important". Again, PSU Alum and Huge fan, but facts are facts. Take a look back since the Jan 2017 Rose Bowl (where they also blew a big lead) in just about all BIG games. If the Lions are ahead or close after 3, they wont be after 4.

2016 vs Michigan.. Sorry that offense did nothing and if not for OSU DBs that game is over bc they had 2 pick 6s essentially and a FG with a minute left to make it 17-17.. Then in 2nd OT Samuel should have never been given a whole field without containment.. Then on a Sportsscience type show they used AI and 14 different views Then using the field measurements made a formula that came up with 2.2 inches short on 4th down.. They did it again but eliminated a few options and got 2.1 inches Then they did there biggest test with the most factors and it came up 2.05 inches all short on 4th down. So that was a lucky one for Ohio St...

Miami officially lost the championship game when Clarett wrestled the ball away from Sean Tylor (RIP). They did not have that dog that night. Miami has never been the same. The same for Clemson. We ended their championship run too. That's why other programs fear us.
@OvertheHIL524

Bad call? You're a fool. That call has been confirmed time and again. And Miami was holding on defense all game. Also been confirmed, by the Miami Herald of all papers. McGahee had been a non factor in that game and Miami was chasing Ohio State all game. Game should've ended in regulation when the Buckeyes completed on third down, but the refs said Gamble didn't catch the ball, again today would've overturned this had it been an option then. Miami was lucky it went to OT.
