Maybe remove the old tin, put plywood down and Ice &water shield on the plywood, and put the tin roof, back on, with new screws, and put a little tar, on bad spots, unless the tin, I'd to far rusted. Or maybe, new metal, and old on top of new metal, if u can, get a match

N.E. Ohio here. First and foremost, I LOVE your channel! Second, Thank-you for preserving and restoring the old General Store and land! I've been busy lately and have missed some videos, but this one caught my eye, thought I'd take a break and watch. I don't know much about chainsaws, only thing is in my opinion. ALL "toys" with a pull string are a Bear to start!!!! I gave up on them years ago, don't have Time for such aggravating things! Grrr grumble grumble. I use hand tools instead, pure brawn and force! I rely on the strength of my biceps, and the sharpness of my various loppers, hand saws, shears, and pruning shears. 'Wish I coulda been there to help. The vines on the side of the store where the Coke machine is, is West Virginia Creeper. It is not poisonous. Spraying any kind of vine will not kill the vine, you have to sever it at the bottom. Using a weed whacker can do that easily. -----I don't like to wear gloves either, but sometimes I have to when it comes to dealing with thorns. Your shovel needs a sharper edge, and you need a smaller, less wide broom. I'm about your age, I've been doing this sort of work for about 35 years, had my own business too, all with only hand tools. Oh, and about the black "stingers" Sounds like white faced hornets to me. They are quick and MEANER than a junkyard dog! Spraying the area in the day time will do no good. All you'll do is make them mad and swarm. You have to do it at night when they're all in their hole, and then place a heavy flat rock on top so they can't get out. I could give you more tips, but I think I've chatted enough. Keep up the great work with your channel, I'll catch ya next time.

I can only imagine all the great plants scattered across those hills that would be wonderful medicinal plants that would make some wonderful tinctures. John you ought to look up things as Mullein leaf and Wild Lettuce and that way you could identify them. Mullein is great for your lungs and breathing and Wild Lettuce is good for pain. I know Ralph would appreciate all the hard work you all are doing! God bless

You got your work cut out for ya but it looks like you put a nice dent in it. After we had lunch at Judy's Grocery back in June I drove to Greasy Hollow. I drove past the cemetery road and up to the store. I parked my truck where yours is in the video and took a couple of pics. Then I drove up to the cemetery. Just as I reached the top of the hill my phone started to alarm like a siren so I stopped to see what was going on. Evidently my truck was rocking pretty hard and my phone thought I was in an accident. It was in the process of calling 911 and alerting my emergency contacts. I got that all stopped and then noticed there was no place to turn my truck around. The cemetery gate was closed so I didn't want to drive into it. I backed down the hill to a spot where I was able to do a 4-5 point turnaround and made it back to the hard road without any problem. I didn't get any pics from the top of the hill but it was a beautiful view from up there. It was a scenic drive and I'm glad you told me how to get there.
