Thrills, relaxation and first-hand information are offered by the oldest and most species-rich bird of prey center in Europe in the middle of the Teutoburg Forest. The eagle station Berlebeck, located south of Detmold city center, with its 180 large and small griffins from 48 species is widely known for its unique free flight demonstrations. Majestic eagles and elegant falcons soar above the slopes near Berlebeck, only to land on the falconer's hand over the heads of spectators young and old.
A panoramic terrace invites you to linger. Children can let off steam in the new play area, and a flock of Skudden sheep is waiting to be fed and petted in an outdoor enclosure.
