If you want to get started with journaling, here's the link to the journal I use: amzn.to/3se1mJ6 I highly recommend this style: the paper is soft to write on and the journal has a great feel to it. There are also many colors and page styles to chose from (dotted, lined, blank). (this is an affiliate link- I will receive a small commission if you purchase a journal)

Hey! I hope that you're doing well. As you can see, this video is a little bit different (and long): there was no plan, no complex editing, no graphics, just me sitting down and talking for a while. My only hope with this video is that it can help a few of you out. While sitting down and talking can be interesting and insightful, I feel like my channel has become a lot of that recently, and I'm looking to shake that up next month. This channel was rooted in travel, and I want to bring more of that adventurous spirit back. So, I convinced my parents to let me fly somewhere and stay in an AirB&B for 2 weeks (after being Covid tested). I won't spoil where I'll be flying to quite yet, but It will be part of a fun series that I'm currently filming! It's time to get out of this crazy room and back into the real world!! (while being safe, of course) I hope you have a great day, see you soon! Max (':

he'll probably never see this comment but he's so inspiring, watching his videos makes me feel so inspired and not alone and I swear he can make an hour long video and I'd watch every minute of it. I've been feeling so overwhelmed lately because of midterms week, balancing university with youtube and my writing has felt like way too much and I've been the most exhausted I've ever been. During my midterm today I could barely stay awake and I was feeling so terrible I was wishing to be able to talk to someone who'd understand me then I saw this video and it felt like talking to a friend. This gave me perspective and inspired me to keep going, thank you so much. 😭💕

Woah. This vid is so calming. I even closed my eyes and made sure that I understant everything youd say. It was like I’m in a meditation. The background music, the story, the way you talk, and everything, they seemed to calm me. And also, I’m now going back to writing my journal after I watched this. It was a loss for me not journaling since pre-covid-19. It’s like I lost those best and worst memories for not jotting them down on my journal. There’s always that feeling of great hesitation and it’s over a year now. So, thanks for your vid again Max!

To people who hesitate to start a journal : do it do it do it !! When I was younger it helped me a lot, especially when I was in love, I know it sounds stupid but I'm a very emotional person and being in love can switch my mood EVERYTIME and it already destroyed a part of my life, I can be happy and then be sad because of something concerning the person. Journaling is a really good way to express yourself and I swear that the best part is when you read your journal a long time after, it's very funny and you can see your course and your advances. Now that I'm in a relationship with the person I love since almost 3 years I stopped journaling, but maybe it would be a good idea to start doing another journal ! If you're lazy you can also find journaling app that are very simple and help you to find what you have to change in your habits, what makes you sad... Thanks for this video @Max Reisinger ! Love from France, dawn

This video is something that I connect with because I have been always writing to help me feel better. I actually have an online journal that I write in every single day. Writing is a form f therapy and it can hold whatever you want it too. I even write about how my day is and how I am feeling and why I am grateful, etc. This story is very cool, I always loved writing but it took my French teacher in high school for me to learn how to better journal so that it would help. She did the same thing with me as your mom did with you.

Great video Max, as always. The simple format worked well and let the content speak for itself. If anyone's looking for a way to keep track of plans, to-do items, etc., I would highly recommend looking into the book Getting Things Done. The whole GTD method is about getting these items out of your brain and into a place you know you'll check regularly, which allows your subconscious to relax and stop worrying about forgetting something. Take care and stay safe Max.

i started writing a journal in my high school as well, while i was under huge stress and confusions and in it i wrote literally every single secret (including sorting out my sexuality too) that i ever had, plus my feelings and how i feel about other people (specifically with names). But, I was shattered, my elder sister somehow managed to steal my journal and while i was asleep, she read it whole. the next day she started making fun of the things i thought, she said that i was a mentally disordered person to think like this. She was literally making me feel guilty for how i feel. She didn't stopped until, she asked me to tear the pages and burn them and flush the ashes in toilet. I was like WTF! I didn't want to do that for obvious reasons as that was my first journal. But she didn't sit quit and kept insisting me and threatening me that she'll tell everyone that how i feel. At last, she did what she wanted to do and all i could do is to see her do it. Well, after that i never wrote a journal ever after.
