This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZitem channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,7444 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@jaydwilliams Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my KZitem channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a KZitemr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this KZitem thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! @@jaydwilliams Thank you! What I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd be able to gain 1K subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened in 2023. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.

One more thing that I would love to add is to make it as much easy as possible to perform the minimum action. This could be something like deciding what to do before the day has already started or maybe cleaning up your files to make it as less friction to work with. And at the end, it's all relative, you could be very productive for the entire week but still feel that you haven't given your 100%.

Hmm interesting i usually write off these videos as analysis paralysis. But there were some good tidbits in here -goals are directions (I knew that going in but it’s good to get a reminder) -set up systems -COMMIT TO ACTION. See I’ve tried the system thing in the past only for me to fall off a week later and go back to… a lite choatic schedule. But I’ve never heard the 10/30/100 rule. That makes so much sense 😂. Why not try it for a 10 days if it sticks good. If not try something different Thanks for the video

Bingo. I quit working GTD when I realized my problem wasn’t organization, I just didn’t want to do the things on my list. You reminded me I still need systems, but they must drive to sincere desires. Rather, you flipped that sequence; get in touch with ambitions, then design systems to get there. An inspiring and achievable summary. And we have the same first name, so it must have been some kind of fate that I saw your inspiration when I needed it.

My only problem is sometimes there are so many different possible paths/ strategies, you get overwhelmed. Then what do we do?

Not sure if it's mentioned somewhere in here but someone along the way taught me to change goal to commitment, it is sort of a hack, it causes one to roll right into reverse planning when you set a commitment whereas goals feel more like someday, and someday is an unlimited leash for am indefinite period of time which lends itself to "never" being achieved. Always been a fan of the actionable steps to reach a target or commitment, the reverse planning and system implementation, using S.M.A.R.T.(acronym) to establish the proper target/commitment.

@Jay D Williams - there are probably umpteen books on goal achievement. but your message is succinct and effective. I loved it. I loved that point is not where you are achieving the goal in 10/30 days, but are you doing that it takes. because outcomes if you are doing it, outcomes are inevitable - may not be exactly what you set out for but 100% you will make progress and that motivates. If you cannot do it, you can then know what is going on there? so, the Q from me is - what should one do if they do not find themselves doing it for 10 days? or 30 days?

Thank you for these tips. I will start by doing the task for 10 days, and see how it goes. Robin Sharma also suggests focusing on a specific task/action for 90 days... How long would you spend on the action every day? So that this action gets done and the other things don't stay behind. Thanks.

Great question! I try to make it as easy as possible. For example, when I started playing guitar, I only committed to doing 10 mins per day every day for 10-30-100. That was enough to get momentum going and eventually I would do 30 mins, then an hour.
