5.3 epilogue really comes at you like "AND HERE COMES DULIA CHAI OFF THE HIGH ROPE WITH A FOLDING CHAIR"

The amazing thing about watching reactions to the 5.3 ending is different people crying at different parts because of associations with their own lived experiences.

And so it begins, you resist for so long but eventually one way or another it gets you, and from that point the gates are thrown wide; they've made you care deeply about the characters and story, and will get you every time going forward

I got an early start with the ARR trailer, years before I ever played the game. ^^ But the real tear jerkers are still coming... Endwalker is just so devious in that regard.

Dulia is such a beautiful character. Chai-Nuzz is a lucky man. Imagine, if we ever figure out how to let people travel back and forth between worlds... Dulia hears Alphinaud is in trouble, she goes through a training arc and comes tearing onto the field to save him, as ripped as Raubahn... With Chai-Nuzz hanging on for dear life.

A lot of people laughed at the start of that scene (and I think it's meant to toe the line between comical and emotional), but I started sobbing the second I heard Dulia-Chai. I probably sounded a lot like her too 😂 I didn't stop til they were back on the Source.

This made me smile. There’s no shame in feeling, or crying! People should do more of both, or not be self conscious about needing to do either. I was personally a mess through a large amount of the ending of 5.3 (Seto particularly, but Dulia too) … they were moments of my gaming life I treasure. Isn’t that what a good narrative game should be trying to do - make you feel something? Make you care? Also: totally wanted to give Garrett a cuddle after Dulia’s speech. 😂

As someone who left their home against their parent's wishes at the start of the story, the amount of found family the twins found during their journey is a huge blessing. It is IMPOSSIBLE to not feel feelings whenever that is pointed out. :,)

MSQ has so many parallels to our main story that you cannot help but relate to ANY story lines this game gives us....hope, despair, friendship, love, family, perseverance, pain, suffering, loss, take your pick, it'll get us one way or another.

It was hard to not cry during this goodbye. I made tears go down my face as It brought up memories from my own past. The death of hourchefaunt also got me as I watched an old friend of mine die in the hospital. It wasn't the same situation of course, but we were friends since we started junior high. Sorry for getting sentimental, I just have alot of baggage right now.

I completely get garrets reaction. No it's not from ff14 I was not that long ago watching parts of Rezero where Garfield comes to a realization about his mother after confronting his past and it hit me like a freight train after losing my mom to covid a little over a year ago.

I was really excited when I saw this pop up in my feed but was then immediately let down a peg by the length because I KNEW they weren't going to get to the scenes that I specifically want to see quite yet. Don't get me wrong, these scenes are great and are definitely part of the excellent ending of 5.3 but there are a few choice scenes that really push into the kind of quality we would come to expect from the next expansion and I'm very excited to see those. I've been fighting the urge to just go watch the livestream VOD just because I've been following the journey on this channel and kind of feel like I should keep to it until the end.
