Yes. Onion juice is good. Very similar to garlic juice but safer because garlic may cause botulism. I love to combine onion, garlic, ginger, curcurma and grapefruit peels blend them together to make a juice. I also add some lemongrass and ylang ylang essential oils since they also aids in scalp treatement but also kind of tame the strong smell. And if you have some mustard oil to complete it, you'll end up with a powerful serum. Nice video

Nadege JUSTE botulism? How so?
@nadegejuste2638
7 жыл бұрын
yes. the botulism bacteria is common in the soil and food like raw garlic, raw tomatoes, can be contaminated. Fermented food also can cause it. Honey also has the toxin but it is more a concerned for infant which is why you must not give honey to infant under 1 year of age. The toxin is killed by boiling the food for 10 minutes. But you know, it is rare. Don't get obssess with it. You still can use infuse garlic oil, but don't keep it for too long, and refrigerate it. Or cook your oil with the garlic, it will still work even less potent. FYI the botulism toxin is used for botox injection. One of the symptom of botulism is a facial paralysis similar to the botox injection

I have eczema mostly on the scalp. Itching, burning, sometimes bleeding because I scratch it too much. I also have thinning hair and male pattern baldness. So around 24 hours ago I applied onion juice, left it on for 3-4 hours and washed it out. Now about 25 hours later I'm feeling back to where I started, but from the moment I applied it until the rest of the day I felt more relief than from anything else I've ever used. It was 100% relief and I was shocked. I woke up today and still felt at least 50% better than I do on other days. A full day later though and it's losing its mojo, and my scalp still smells like onion, I know because I can smell it on my fingertips after I scratch my hair. Was it worth it on balance? Yes. Will I use it again. Absolutely! Some have suggested mixing it with lemon juice to alleviate the odor however scalps are sensitive to pH and lemon juice is the strongest acid in the food kingdom with a pH near 2.0 so I wouldn't try that on.

That depends on where in your wash day process you detangle your hair. Most people detangle sometime after the shampoo step. Like when the hair is coated in a Conditioner. The Onion Juice Treatment should be the first step. So, for me I ... Onion Juice Treatment --- Shampoo ---- Condition ---- ACV Rinse
@EloquentlyEse

I usually detangle before washing because doing so when my hair is completely wet breaks it. So for me it is ACV+water+oil for detangling, then wash, then deep condition then spritz with diluted ACV after to close back my cuticles. So where would you advise the onion treatment be added into this routine?

Does this cause dandruff? I've been doing onion rinse weekly, and enjoying it, I even like the smell. I've notice I've gotten a lot dandruff and I've never had that problem before. Wondering if this causes it or maybe something else is the cause. Not much has changed in my routine predandruff & onion rinse: I now wash my hair weekly (it used to be biweekly) after onion rinse, I started wearing clip ins as oppose to wigs. Does anyone wanna drop suggestions as to what they think it may be? Edit: Oh I also started using a different shampoo. Just want to lay out everything different I've been doing in case someone can make a connection.

How do you feel about scalp exfoliating? To me it's a bit much, but I also don't fully understand it. I guess I just feel like exfoliating is better left from your face down lol

Liz A Thanks for responding, but I was actually referring to naturals that use sugar scrubs to exfoliate the scalp. To me, that just seems a bit harsh on the scalp as opposed to a regular scalp massage.

Liz A Agreed! Thanks so much for this conversation. I was hoping GreenBeautyChannel could cover this subject (and the fact that I've seen naturals also putting Vicks vapor rub on their scalp... omg) so people can be a little bit more educated on those things.

To the 12 tribes of Jacob that are scattered throughout the four corners of the earth and the strangers that have joined themselves unto them........ .....Research God’s Time in Genesis 1:14. God’s Sabbath is calculated by the sun, moon and stars, not by the Gregorian or any other man made calendar hanging on our walls. God may allow the “Powers To Be” to enforce some type of “Sabbath Law” before He deliver His people from all nations, to see if we will keep His Law or no. Examples: Deut. 16:4. Judges 3:4. Genesis 1:14 is a command from God. Days are by the lights in heaven. The Sabbath day is a day. God’s Sabbath is calculated by the lights in heaven. The true Sabbath is not Saturday or Sunday. The new moon day is the first day of the month. God’s months start with the new moon day. The Gregorian calendar do not start its months with the new moon day. Did Jesus calculate His Father’s Sabbath by the Time His Father ordained in Genesis 1:14? Lift Jesus up. Follow Him.

This is interesting. I don't want to walk around smelling like onions if I have to use it on a constant basics to get the full benefit. I'll pass on this one. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.

I love your videos. I watched every topic about onion juice and about the causes of hair loss. For example I now realise that perhaps the intense heat in certain climates could have a contributing factor especially since my hair type is thin light and kept short and I am not used to the intense heat.

Have you ever done a "rice water only" washes to compare to the water only washes, experiment? And, if you never did, would you think fermented rice water would work better versus fresh/normal rice water on course hair?
