@jufejufinho well two things you can be sure I will be doing are. 1. To entertain, and hopefully make people smile. Any joy I can add to the world litterally fills me with joy. 2. To help people, if I can share something... anything to help someone do something a lil easier, I'll do it. Even if it only helps 1 person. I'll be delighted.

You should only use auto on low force wheelbases. Also there is a huge difference between settings FFB ingame and on the wheelbase and you failed to explain the difference and when clipping occurs. Clipping only occurs when the ingame FFB is too high and wants to output more force than available. The title is really misleading and might make it worse for some people.

I personally have a DD wheel and think Auto gives me a good baseline FFB value accross all my cars, having consistency, apart from mazdas as it gives me 18 but I love 20. (Maybe like the volume in a car lol) I think testing the 'intensity' button alongside the auto button is a very useful starting point for someone with zero experience setting FFB, this video idea came to mind when I noticed a friend was playing with a g29, constantly Clipping, basically playing on max ffb, 1 power for the whole turn. Auto fixed his issue, obviously intensity dictates where the auto lands, but as far as I'm aware once you set intensity to a reasonable place and hit auto, this lowers ingame FFB no? Or at least within good margains? I guess I implied the obvious 'for me' but your very right, FFB from the wheel, is then filtered through iRacings FFB, thanks for highlighting this as its important for me in the future to put myself in the shoes of a true beginner when making these videos. Thank you.

@@JACKZERYT It's indeed made for wheels like the G29 etc. It will still clip on certain curbs, but clipping isn't a issue on a low end wheels. Without clipping it will feel very light. For direct drive it's better to Nm instead of strength. Set you wheelbase force and then max force twice than that. That means you have a 0.5 ratio and you will not have clipping in any car. Then set the FFB in your wheelbase software to get the overal force that you like. Then you will have plenty of headroom for even a sausage curb strike without loosing details. You can still tune it a little bit per car if needed, but it should be fine for almost all cars. Only the Mazda and other road cars will feel a bit on the light side, so you could up them a bit. This technique is what you should use for 10Nm+ wheelbases.
