Wonderful stuff. Love how Perrett does a double take of Perry when he throws in some discordant stuff.

I don’t think this one is really actually about heroin...here’s what Peter says: "I can remember what caused me to write 'Another Girl, Another Planet.' It would have been about April '77 because we had it recorded by June. It was inspired by this girl from Yugoslavia. I didn't go out with her, but she was like a total space cadet, which when I was really young I found interesting. She was just a bit weird- she'd say crazy things, and it just got me thinking that every girl has something to offer. “I put in drug-related imagery, but it wasn't about drugs. At that time I was more addicted to sex and infatuation than I was to drugs." I think a lot of rock musicians like to do songs that are ambiguous as to whether they are about girls or drugs, but I think both this and “There She Goes” fall more on the “girls” side. Chinese Rocks though, that one’s about heroin for sure haha.

Yeah but just look at him. He is living, breathing, wired rock and roll. Sprung steel in his spine, piss and vinegar in his voice. Give me this over sanitised everything else. Got the same vibe when I saw Doll By Doll around 1981, Jackie Leven owned the stage and you couldn't take your eyes off him.
