My Anker Qi2 Power Bank 10K makes my iphone 15 pro max extremely hot! Almost the same as their Qi1 chargers. Am so disappointed that I paid so much but this still produces so much heat. Back to the apple magsafe battery pack for me!

But if it helps, i can recommend 2 Qi powerbanks that don't overheat (at least for me, i use official silicone cases) Liberfeel 10K mAh charger and a luckyduo 5k mAh Qi magsafe

This is the first Qi2 magsafe powerbank in the market and Anker is definitely taking advantage of that by charging $90 for it. I will wait for the competition to catch up and prices to go down. My Baseus is doing the job for me rn.

I got the MagGo 10000. It'a a great battery but still have a lot flaws. 1st it does not fit the 6.1" iPhone 15 Pro, only the Max. The battery is longer than the 15 Pro when mounted on the phone. 2nd is the build quality. The Charging Pad face of the power bank does not stay flat on the phone when charging, the surface has irregularities (bad quality) and the lower part where the second magnet is located has always a 1-2 millimeters raise from the glass back of the phone. 3rd, on the iPhone 15 Pro it starts to charge with 15 Watts but after 30-40 mins goes all the way down to 5-6 Watts (measured on Ampere).
@JulianR0108

I think the lower wattage may be due to heat. I have an iPhone 11 and use a MagSafe case paired with a magnetic battery pack, and I’ve had that same issue with a totally different battery pack.
@psp4gamer

@@JulianR0108I can confirm, but i use 2 generic Qi powerbanks and doesn't overheat, but as soon it reaches like around 70% the charge is at 10W, then 7W, then 5W. Liberfeel 10K and luckyduo 5K, and the luckyduo is slimmer af.

hi there, thanks for your review, very informative. Can I please check, if you plug the powerbank to your phone, and you plug the cable as well to power bank at the same time to charge the phone. Will it directly charge through the cable (20w) and not use the magsafe charge at all, and this avoid the inefficiency plus heat possibilities? Thanks ;)

Hi bbt, I am a Uk viewer of this video, and I can't find anyone who can answer the following. How long does it take to fully charge the Qi2 power bank itself, and how do you charge it? Do you require a plug for the mains, and with what cable? Many thanks
@buybyetech
7 ай бұрын
I haven't tested how long it takes to actually get the battery pack itself up to 100%, it would vary depending on what percentage the battery pack is at - I haven't had a situation where I've completely drained it and charged it back up, but I can find the time to do so and update this post. To charge it, you just plug in a USB-C cable to a power adapter. You can charge both the battery pack AND phone this way too.

Of course! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! Give me maybe a day or two to drain the battery pack and see how long it takes to charge it back to 100% and I'll add a comment here for you with that info.

Will it work with android phones because Qi2 has been officially certified to work with android phones because Android companies are going to start putting magnets on the back of the phones
@buybyetech
7 ай бұрын
Yes, it's a universal charging standard so it's not exclusive to the iPhone. It's just there aren't any Android phones out yet with Qi2 support, which makes sense since we're just now starting to get Qi2 accessories. My bet is that you'll start seeing Android phones with this feature late this year into next year.

I just bought an s24 ultra and it doesn't have qi2. Bummer. At least I can use the old Qi standard, which will actually fast wireless charge at 10w (15w using Samsung wireless chargers). My brother has a made for magsafe charger ring that charges his phone at 15w wireless (12 pro max) but my phone at 5w (s20fe and soon to be s24 ultra)

The MagGo Power Bank and 633 Power Bank offer 20w fast charging if you’re using a cable to charge via the USB-C port. Faster than the 7.5w the 633 gives you and the 15w the MagGo gives you using MagSafe.

Is it advisable to leave it on the iPhone when it has 100% charge? So that it doesn't get off, is it recommended?
@buybyetech

There’s really no reason to keep it on if your battery is already at 100%. It’s not meant to be a permanent accessory you have on your phone at all times. I wouldn’t recommend using it this way.

Where did you get that widget that shows your magsafe battery pack?
@buybyetech
6 ай бұрын
It’s the built-in battery widget on the iPhone. It only works with Apple’s own MagSafe Battery pack since it’s the only Made for MagSafe Battery pack out now (at least I’m pretty sure it is). MagSafe compatible battery packs, like this one, won’t show in the battery widget. That’s probably why this one has the built-in screen to show that kind of information.
