Hi! We are in Port Barton. Things changed a lot after covid and the typhoon in dec 2021. - Whitebeach is permanently closed - Motorbike is 500 for 8 hours - All island snorkling tours are 1500 peso incl. fee - The restaurant vegehouse and Stellbucks are permanently closed. - Olive's restaurant still exist but is called Flavoroso now.

"Remember, you're in a JUNGLE." Gee, other vloggers should watch your no BS guides. I think I've had enough of backpackers going to Palawan and complaining about the lack of WiFi and the "ridiculous prices" - as if everything must be dirt cheap just because it's in a third world country (f*ck the poor locals, and screw the laws of supply and demand!). I love this series. Keep 'em going!

@kobayashimaru65
5 жыл бұрын
Port Barton has 24 hour electricity as of December 2018. Woohoo! Getting a motorcycle ride from a local to waterfalls or White Beach usually runs 100 pesos per person one way. Island hopping is now 1,200 pesos per person and includes mask, lunch, and island fees. White Beach is 300 pesos for drop off and pick up on a bangka (local boat).

Has the road upgrade been completed?
@kobayashimaru65
5 жыл бұрын
No, they are still working on the road to White Beach. I don’t know about to the waterfalls, because I have not been that way for a while. In town, only only a small portion of the road is done, which is connected to the one going to White Beach. I think work has been slowed down now, because we are in a major drought now. No significant rain for 4-5 months now.

Is it right to say that Minus the Tours, Port Barton is just a tiny beach with some White People to gaze upon? The beach in itself is nothing special. So you must take a Tour.

I had a friend who did not like the experience. Port Barton has more of a laid back, stripped down luxury, back packer vibe. If you have been to the best of Palawan and that is more of your liking, you may not like Port barton. She said that in general the food was not good.

Wow! This review is Legit! Travelled to Palawan (Puerto Princesa & El Nido) in Rainy Season and it rained for four days straight and boats weren't allowed to get off the port by the Coast Guard. We were lucky that on our 5th day the skies were clear and was able to do island hopping. Will be back in the dry season next year May 2021 hoping COVID is not a major issue anymore. Quick question...I'm doing Coron and another spot. Which do you recommend? Araceli or Port Barton?

@IntAffair
6 жыл бұрын
That's a difficult one to answer...a lot of factors weigh in on it: your budget, what climate you like, what activities you want to be close to... SE Asia is a great place start though. Money goes a long way, it's safe, the food is incredible and the people are amazing! That being said, do some research on apartments in different countries and their respective monthly/bi-monthly costs. Scooters will be relatively cheap for monthly rentals. There are great aspects of every SE Asian country so you'll need to narrow it down to which one you're most interested in and go from there. If anyone reading has any additional info or suggestions feel free to help Bob out below 😊

Hey :) I was at the second waterfall there (i think). Going there is a a must see. I found a random local who guided us there for 300 pesos. It is like 2,5 h walk through the jungle one way which, itself its a great adventure and amazing views. Waterfall itself is a really wild place, not much touched by the tourism. The additonal attraction is while it is already dark during your way back. Night in the jungle. Highly recommended :) BTW - fantastic guides you make. Keep it on.
