I think a lot of these new rappers forget (or don't know) that Carti really became known by being around A$AP Mob, early 2010-s NY fashion influencers, and other popular SoundCloud rappers. Bro did not just pop out of nowhere acting mysterious, he had other really popular people vouching for him and popularizing his name. "Nobody knows who you are and you're making it worse" was 100% accurate for a lot of the people trying to emulate him.

Tiktok rappers just think that once they make a hit they’re set or they have to flood the market (cough, cough, DDG, cough, cough) Carti said it best “niggas dont know how to get all that attention and just cool it”. Its not about being mysterious its about knowing when to address shit. Carti goes through multiple music phases throughout his hiatus as shown through his leaks and wants his sound to be fresh, so hes got a legit reason for taking so long, but these rappers tend to sound the same their whole career and fall off. i disagree on this, I think fans these days want too much from artists. A lot of people are looking for these celebrities to be their bff. I actually like an artist who just drops music and lays low, too many artists these days are doing the most for internet clout and that overshadows their work.
@ghoullyman

Hello and actually I have to disagree with yours also . There is alot of artist who base they’re drops off carti now . Fans are gonna fans either way but it’s crazy for a man to call himself a rapper and not drop music for extended and extended times . Somebody can easily take cartis spot or whoever’s spot and do what they do even better it’s just. It’s just people like d ride super hard and not give those artist who do “clout chasing things “ a chance. A artist can’t blow up just by dropping anymore you have to do some crazy shit . Even carti did cloud chasin stuff like getting head in broke boi vid.

@@ghoullyman I agree on the dropping music part; A new artist does not have the luxury of going on a 4 year break unless theyre Adele levels of good which none are. I think they should drop consistently but they don't always have to share every detail about their life with people on social media.

X is the real genius to me . X was the only person that had the mysterious aura even tho we constantly saw him and he interacted with fans, he had the grunge edgy feeling about him even if he was wearing snorlax slippers, and he had the aesthetic naturally bro really grew up on 3daysgrace and stuff and you hear it in his music he really was goin through shit n was Emo. I feel like opium is what X was but as a brand and x was jus x

the thing about X tho is that he was authentic af. He really was emo and just like that, even off camera he was still the same person everyone knew him as. Opium just has the dark aesthetic, none of them were really like that from the start except maybe Lone, but even then thats pushing it. Opium is still cool cus they kinda paved the way for everyone tryna be like them now though.

Man i loved in Atlanta for three years I loved it, the first year was a little tuff. Because going through the airport i had tramadol on me coming back into the country next thing you know im im in jail fighting 4 felony trafficking cases in clayton county. First years fighting the case was hell in jail. I got out on first offender act with 7 years probation and the judge said if i don't pass she is sending me away for + ten years.

just saying the brand of the artist is very important you could say it's even more important than the actual music and it impacts the way you hear a song the community the brand the story and also having self confidence is the most important thing for an artist if you don't believe in your creation you can't sell it for shit (being humble in order to grow can be done in the background but your persona is your career your selling your ideal self and inspire/entertain people)
