Excellent Rick . I have got Wilcoxins & he has it in rolls & paradiddles at the end of his swing book . I’m sure I’m not alone in thanking you for your incredible support of drumming & high standards of educational material. Without sounding negative there are some areas online that are very confusing.

Great playing Rick, I was just looking at Wilcoxon's arrangement and couldn't make sense of the notatation. This makes it a lot clearer.

It's awesome for me, Rick! I found "Campls" with only triplets, for start, but this version is more than epic!

That’s how I play it. Traditional tempo first and then twice the speed. It’s a great warm up.

Awesome Rick. I was just working on this last night and was really confused by the way Charlie wrote it out. You are playing in a 12/8 feeling which makes a lot more sense. I don’t know how Three Camps is traditionally supposed to sound so I was just going by the Wilcoxin book, which really can’t be taken literally in certain cases-like any good bible!

The biggest question, what is the original version of 'Three Camps'? The Wilcoxon wrote his version in close type of five stroke roll, but do you see anywhere any troop marching in 12/8?)) All early version was in simple time or in 4/4. 12/8 much much modern interpretation. If you interesting, google; 'The Mother and the Three Camps'

That's a drag at the end, not a ruff and it is being played.

These are double strokes and this is not marching band music although open doubles are used prominently in marching bands and drum corps.
