Of course Dulcea, thank YOU so much for being willing to be so open and kind! In so many ways I feel this song has embodied you as a person. Despite everything that happened, you chose to be brave and kind. You made a choice on how this experience would define you and changed your mind. You focused on the good experiences, the joy! And that, in the best way possible, makes you anything... but ordinary! ❤ (Best of luck in everything you do, and I truly hope our paths can cross once more in the future) 😊

I know, but the sad thing is it. This happens more often than you think, there are a lot of people who just wanted tipped their toes as of and that they were inspired to, or just wanted to make something that they felt was pretty cool and nice just to be expected to continue being put out of that stuff. I’ve seen many of my friends who are into art, and animation end up, just blacklisted that part of a fandom due to how fast and how hard the demands come in. I understand how excited making contact for a fandom can get people and it’s a good boots. If they wanna do that thing is they have to want to do that these creators we’re just keeping their toes trying to experiment with something new that they liked, and then some just turn into an expectation, rather than a exception.
@RutabegaNG
Жыл бұрын
Some forget (or don't care) that there's an actual person at the other end of their demands, not a machine or person whose sole purpose is to amuse them. So many people have given up something they love because of those "fans;" they drive away creators, performers, and other fans. It's heartbreaking, really.

Oh cramity! Amity! This is probably one of the most beautiful videos I've ever watched! The "this video is for you" part actually brought tears to my eyes and I love how you incorporated the song lyrics at that part! I've been in the fandom since like the s1a hiatus, only a few weeks before the s1b trailer came out. I remember seeing little miss perfect rise to popularity and the fandom freaking abt Lumity in the grom outfits in the hallway after the trailer. The fandom was so small back then and it feels unreal how big it has become now I'm also really glad to hear Dulcea is doing alright :), I always wondered where the original animatic went. This fandom has been such a great experience, the owl house means so so SO much to me. And I can't wait for it to come back :D I loved hearing about the history of these songs and I'm excited to see what you do next! You're really underrated I love your content so far! :)

Wow. This video is exactly what I needed. A short time after I finally watched the Owl House, noticIng that all my favourite She-Ra youtubers also liked this other show, I was scouring the Internet looking for content. Some crack videos referencing LMP led me to check it out. After watching both of the most popular animatics, memorizing both songs and adopting Ordinary as one of my all-time favourites, I read some comments and looked up some stuff to discover that there was some kind of Owl House musical. I wasn’t sure if it was in the works, done, or completely forgotten about- without a clear timeline I had no idea. The animatics that I found were also, weirdly, reuploads of videos that had been taken down for reasons I couldn’t find. I assumed there must be a story beneath all this, but resigned to never really understanding it. Then a few months later, KZitem recommends me this! This video confirmed some assumptions, clarified and disproved others and I’m happy to finally understand what went on behind the scenes. Thank you!

That end to the vid, really spoke to me... Coming from a bad upbringing and with a lot against, family being pushy and... Yeah, after fighting a lot of demons (maybe some far more scary than the ones in the Boiling Isles) and finally embracing who I am and who I want to be in the future, no matter how early or how late I might be, truly makes me feel free. I got to thank The Owl House, the fan animatics, songs and your vid that reminded me that the steps I'm taking to fully live my life, even when days are rough, hours are long and minutes seem like an eternity will amount to something. I am going against the grain and I will keep on going. Thanks you, the best of luck with the channel and a huge hug from Portugal!

one very minor complaint, little miss perfect doesn't end with "it's never worth it to be little miss perfect" it ends with "it's never worth it when you're little miss perfect", her self doubt and insecurities won this battle, she denies it and indulging in things that make you happy isn't worth it for herself, it's an acknowledgement and sorrow over a harsh defeat, it's an entirely different tone to end on

Holly shit dude, I am a long time fan of musical theater. I knew Louderman from Mean Girls, and Joriah from the competiton Write Out Loud. I have been blasting Little MIss Perfect and Ordiinary for years now on my playlists, even before I knew Owl House existed, and I had interpreted them as a back to back pair of songs telling the story of two girls trying to navigate their feelings for each other. I had no idea about the songs' relation to Joriah's personal history, 13 reasons why and even less, the link to Lumity. I just learned about it today... I feel like I just found the missing piece of something that meant a lot to me for years, in something that means a lot to me now. You really need to keep making this videos kid. Either about the Owl house or any other IP, your commentary and insights are gold.

Unfortunately there are often a variety of reasons that people can't do what they'd love to do, and I am sorry to hear that there are circumstances that have made this the case for you. However, that being said, the fact that you still love what you do and want to write it down for the future means that your passion is still alive and that is the most important thing. Talent and resources can only take people so far if you don't have the passion for it, there is a big difference between being good at something and loving to do it. As long as your passion is alive, you still are true to yourself. It's also worth looking into if maybe there are other things similar in the field as well. Some aspiring singers who can't sing or don't want to be in the spotlight end up being some of the greatest song writers of all time. This is just an example, but my hope is that you are able to keep your dreams alive and find your way to them one day. Sometimes our paths are forged through unexpected turns, but sometimes where we end up is exactly where we needed to go. I wish the best to you and your dreams. Even if it might not be possible yet, please don't ever forget your passion.

What is normal? Everyone says I’m weird and they don’t like me Ive had to pretend I don’t have many emotions but I cant, they always shine through, i don’t have many friends and the ones I do don’t talk to me as much but when I get somewhere safe where no one can judge me I let my self free and do what i want, write what I want, draw what I want, but when I leave that place I go back to being emotionless and wanting to be on my own but I don’t, I want to have friends, I want people to talk to, I want someone, someday just to come up to me and tell me that they like drawing and cartoons and that they wanna be friends but no one does. The owl house is one of the things people don’t know that I like it and that makes it so I can’t be bullied about it so it’s my all time favourite show.

A year late huh? Well better late then never. Because even if the chances of anyone reading this comment are zero, I still want to put these thoughts out there. First of all I want to say just how incredible this video was, its clear a lot of time and effort was piled into it and that it deserves plenty of praise, sadly all I can offer is a like and my own comment. Secondly the chapter 6 part had no right to be as perfect as it was, I'm someone who doesn't cry very often but standing in my room, looking out into the clear sky, feeling like one of those pan away shots at the end of a movie, definitely brought some tears to my eyes. So thank you, Karsium, thank you for spreading the message that everyone needs to hear. And lastly to anyone who needs that extra push to take their own leaps, well for what its worth this weirdo on the internet believes in you, so why not give it a shot?

Well of course Ordinary is considered the better of the two! That song was tailor made for The Owl House, while Little Miss Perfect is essentially that beautiful child that everyone wanted to adopt, and we did. Okok, I was just chilling in my room at 10pm watching this video, and I thought, "Oh, this is pretty interesting." "Oh, they made a musical. I'm gonna check it out after this," but when it got to chapter 6, YOU MADE ME CRY. I literally have been asking my mom for vocal lessons, but I stopped asking a while ago bcuz I thought, "it's been a while. She's not gonna let me." I want to make a KZitem channel but not only do I not know where to start or what to post about, I'm also scared. I want to sing for TikTok, KZitem, my school talent show, for crying out loud! But I'm scared of messing up, I'm scared of judgment, of dissaproval....... but after watching that one part of this video, after almost crying, I don't feel targeted, but rather, I feel comforted. I feel a little more confident about showing up on the last day of school (and last day of MIDDLE school, at that) wearing all rainbow. I was even hesitant to post this comment. I know it sounds stupid, and I'm probably being overdramatic over a portion of a KZitem video, but you just made my day. Not only that, but you lifted my spirits. Thank you. Edit: I'm really sorry this was really long. I just talk a lot and I couldn't help myself T^T

I gotta say, I am overjoyed that this video was so meaningful to you! It can be so difficult to find yourself already, but then also dealing with judgment makes the battle a constant one. I am very sorry to hear that you haven't felt supported in not only your dreams, but who you are as a person. It is my goal with my channel to provide that support in any way I can, and to be honest with you, it took me years to make this channel too for similar reasons as you. After watching The Owl House, I experienced something that impacted me so significantly that it gave me the courage I needed. Why not trust in my words? I don't want to go with the grain. Why try and make myself plain? These words from Joriah's song perfectly summed up what the show meant to me. That I was going with the grain and I was unhappy doing it. It was my hope that I could amplify that message and reconnect it with all of you, and I am so glad that it seems that it did in this case. You are not being overdramatic. Growing up is hard enough without the judgement and discrimination when coming of age and forming distinct parts of your identity. My only hope is that you can keep your spirit alive and find others who will love and accept you for who you are. I do hope that you can get those vocal lessons if you still want to pursue them. You have a voice and you deserve to be heard! I hope the lesson from this video carries with you in your future, and that it continues to lift your spirits. Even if it's a small part, I am so happy this video can be apart of your journey through life and I do hope you end up wearing all rainbow like how you want to! I hope to see your comments in future videos, and I hope your path forward is filled with even more... Clarity!

@@Kasrium Thank you, I really mean it. Now you're actually making me cry, lol. I really needed that. Keep doing what you're doing, and keep making people happy. And, I'm glad that I actually do have someone, and I believe she's the one. I may not be a little miss perfect, but I'm not so ordinary. ♡

To be honest, as a fan, I'm scared of one thing. One day, the show will end then what am I gonna do after all those excitement? The owl house is the only comfort show that makes me feel welcome and seeing it close to end makes my heart torn. One day, I'll just there look at the series as an adult thinking this show fills my heart as a teen. I will surely feel old and think of the memories I have with the fandom because of this. It's a good memory.

Oh Cramity! Amity! I'm surprised you didn't mention how Little Miss Perfect is also getting it's own musical simply titled Little Miss Perfect: The Musical where it, Ordinary, and a number of new songs are telling an original story. Falling Fast is a duet from it and is considered the part 3 to the other two.

Hello! First of all, awesome username! Second, I actually originally had a chapter just before chapter 5 that did talk about those things that I unfortunately had to cut due to time, as the video was getting too long, and it deviating a bit to far from what the video ended up focusing on. In retrospect I suppose I could have found a way to integrate these facts into chapters that did end up making it in the video as they are extensions of this story as well. Thank you for mentioning this as stuff like this makes me revaluate how I approach making videos and improves them in the future overall. I hope you have a beautiful day and thank you for being a real witch! ❤

It is always sad to hear how Toxic a lot of Fandoms are. I like Lumity and Luz and Amity as charackters but this is Not the only reason i watch the owl house.

I agree, as positive as this show is every fandom has its toxicity and this show is no exception. As long as you are aware of this and are choosing to be kind and respectful then you are making a positive impact. Thank you for doing that with my video today, remember to do something nice for yourself too

Never watched the whole 13 Reasons Why show because it was so different from the book. In the book, Courtney finds out that somebody has been peeping on Hannah, so she agrees to help Hannah catch them. They set the bait, acting like they're about to be gay and kinky together before they run to the window and pull up the blinds to reveal the creepy photography kid. Courtney also turns out to be a really terrible person later in Hannah's story anyway.

HOLY GUACA FRICKIN’ MOLE I am MORE than impressed, this was SUCH a good vid. Ok. Calming down. Jesus Christ. Ok so, as I usually do on vids I’m gonna rant so if you don’t feel like wasting time just scroll. Honestly I’m fine with it. Ok. So, not only did this vid bring home all the feels, excitement, calmness, and light anger in rollercoaster speed, it also made an effort to give all the Amity! Oh Cramity! References and vibes. It also brought attention to all of his personal favorites and honestly great animations and animatics, and if I have anything to add to that I would say to make sure you check out SunNekoChan’s animatic, which perfectly encapsulates “Luz and Amity just being a mess of true love” in a similar style to the show in a way that is also slightly their own. At first I just thought this vid was going to talk about it and give us a good notion about, whatever I guess, in like 8 min, then just *chilled* and watched it, enjoying all the background bits n’ pieces along with the main vid, information, and vibe of the experience. I just loved how genuine you were and how you cared for EVERYONE, and being able to be in this fandom in this time was amazing. I’m still growing up so all the greats; SU, GF, OK K. O., Wakfu, etcetera, came out before I was even really online, and being able to even contribute these comments to the fandoms I love, while all this awesomeness is going on. Even if like 5 people see this and feel my emotions will be enough for me. This video was amazing, and the emotional yet calm bits felt so genuine and I hope y’all keep living your lives and do what you want with your lives. Have a good rest of your day.

Thank YOU for making these amazing videos, expressing your feelings and love for these shows, and taking the time out of your schedule to interact with people like me. Some more ones I remembered were Alone Together by EllowMello, The Other Side by ByeByeee, and Fish in a Birdcage by Rileyclaw. You aren’t obligated to check ’em out by any means but if they are new to you feel free to give them a search.

I met someone who said the song was literally them, I’m omni so I asked her for her favourite lyric. She said she liked the first verse the most. I was looking for a friend who was similar to me at the time, most people in school are straight so it was a nice thing in my head to find someone like me. We talked for awhile and we played it while sitting eating lunch. She talked about how she hated people assuming she was gay because she liked this song. I pointed out she said the song was literally her she just went ew no I’m a straight A student not a gay weirdo. I took my stuff and left.
