Throughout the centuries and history, there were many Kings and Queens of England and Britain who suffered in their final moments. One King that never was born to rule Britain was King William III, the Prince of Orange. William of Orange or William III came onto the throne with his wife Mary II following the Glorious Revolution in which James II stepped down and fled to France. But William was not the most popular man, being a Dutchman sitting on the English throne. His popularity decreased even after the death of his wife and Queen, and there were a number of assassination attempts on him.
But William III in his final days suffered greatly. He fell off his horse and suffered a very badly broken collarbone and following this he had to have this set by doctors. But William III was already very ill and within days he had died. He was then buried quietly alongside his wife Mary II.
