Yes this happened to me. I was in deep grief when I realized that the one who was grieving wasn't me and wasn't anything at all and the pain I was feeling just wasn't there anymore and hasn't returned. It was so simple that I couldn't believe it at first, but the longer I went without the pain the more the knowing of it became my reality.

Interesting about the voice. I remember early on at the beginning of spiritual practice I heard a voice say "are you ready to let go of everything"? And then there was an opening beyond all sense perceptions into pure consciousness, or pure objectless happiness. It was an auspicious beginning. But it took a further ten years to come to the end of separation. The last letting go was agonizing, because it felt like a death! Letting go of any grasping to my existence itself. But then that revealed everything.. That I have no existence apart from the absolute and neither does the universe. There is only one seamless unity. Only God or Self.

21:54: Drop any thoughts (actions,...) that are coming on behalf of the separate self, and they will wither with time. To surrender is to let go of everything that is not essential to us. What remains is the revelation or the laying bare of the essence of ourself. The last surrender would be to surrender the one who surrenders or the one who remembers.

So unique,so profound...i discovered Rupert almost one year ago and his teaching resonates deeply with me.One thing i noticed since is that lots of tears are triggered by the heart of the knowing. It is not sadness there ,nor joy,just a feeling of pure love floating,with no destination,sort to speak.I just accept it as it is, maybe layers of resistance are exposed.Thank you Alan for the magnificient work!

Akin to the Zen Buddhist sense of Non-Self, of Interbeing. Question: How does one “surrender” what oneself?
@alanneachell9092
Жыл бұрын
Surrender can't be done. True surrender comes from seeing clearly that there is no individual, independent self to surrender. We can find out what we truly are by resting as Presence until it becomes obvious that you and I are one and the same 🙏💕
