Peel cut and trim the sides before topping got it. Love all these tips. How about offering your shirts in some light colors? In the summer I wear a lot of white, light gray, lime or orange. I like the Made For This shirt with the chainsaw graphic, but a black shirt in the summer ain't cool. Might also think about offering some long sleeve shirts with them tiny holes for ventilation. Us old timers get cut up pretty easy and could use the arm protection. Thanks for another great video August.

15:22 - @August - That inspires me to experiment with the concept of hard-mounting in-line skate (wheel-trucks removed, of course!), or snow-boots, with my old spurs - maybe some inner-tube bands that could be pulled over the buckles (locking-pins, etc) - so as to prevent snagging a snap-over buckle, and having it open up, in the tree. Keep in mind, I've got old-school spurs (the leather pads and straps, are shot!); I don't do this for a living (rarely - I average 1-climb per 7-year span). *All the usual disclaimers apply. Cheers-

why climb that If you could fit the bucket truck in where you had the chipper? do you just enjoy climbing that much? I guess it is nice climbing pines that go straight up and have relativley small branches compared to oak that can be 75 feet in diameter, but still, would a bucket truck not have made this easier?
@AugustHunicke
3 жыл бұрын
Two things since you couldn’t tell in the vid. 1. There was steepness and wet boggy terrain at the entry point which meant four-wheel-drive access only. That rules out the bucket. 2. We wouldn’t have used the bucket truck even if we had access because it would go nowhere near tall enough for the tree. (we don’t do what we don’t need to do and we do do what we do need to do)
