For college kids, here's the hacks I use for when I want good ramen on a budget: Use chicken or beef broth/stock instead of water Use leftover meats Put a splash of milk for thickness Egg, if you like You can buy small packs of frozen veggies like broccoli or other stuff for cheap Canned mushrooms Frozen dumplings you can also buy pre-made, just put them in at the end before your noodles are fully cooked and cover the pot to steam them Bean sprouts and cucumber. Especially if you have spicy flavors Some people add peanut butter and/or soy sauce

I always use the chicken flavored ramen packet, crush up the noodles and add soy sauce and whatever spices I have on hand (garlic powder, paprika, cumin, etc.) to the broth while the noodles cook. At the end I add half a can of chicken and a scrambled egg that I stir in quickly. The egg gives the broth a really nice texture

Watching your videos are a guilty pleasure. My ex girlfriend was self-titled the queen of Ramen. She always added sliced American cheese, cayenne pepper, butter, egg, etc. to Ramen. She grew up inner-city and kind of had to improvise because parent's were never around. I thought this was a product of circumstance and never because it was a thing. I had always told her these things don't go into instant Ramen, but she was right (as always lol) in saying that they can and do - she would love this.

I grew up eating and cooking Maggi Instant Noodles. It's quite common in Malaysia. Have always had it with an egg. When I started college and lived on my own, my mates brought me to local Indian restaurants (Mamak) for late night suppers. Their version would usually include some chopped vegetables, along with the egg. That's the soupy version and they usually use Maggi Kari (curry). When I order Indomee (dry noodles), I have it with a sunny side egg (runny yolk is a must!).

I used to add chicken or turkey to mine for chicken noodle soup. I used canned when I had it or a handful of shredded rotisserie. You can drain the canned or pour in the salty water. I added unsalted butter, and it was so rich and salty. Perfect if you have a cold and can’t taste much, plus the electrolytes help too. 😉 As a kid I never knew to use the water. 🤷🏻♀️ Why o never read the package. 😂 I’d just boil noddles like spaghetti, drain, add butter to hot noodles, and the powder. The melted butter and powder made a tasty sauce.
