Looks like the 224 you guys shot a while back. I got a 224 ar with a stainless bull barrel after that video. I have never had a rifle shoot that accurately in my life. Fyi, for what it's worth. Geissele says to not use the kns pins on there triggers. Geissele says that the kns pins will over time create a bur & trigger issues. Great video & BCM all the way!!!!

I love the idea of the Mk12/SPR style of AR rifle. I made one out of an old Wyndham I have. Has DD 18" 1-7 CHF barrel, Geissele SSA 2 stage, Vortex Viper 2.5-10, and a Wyndham A-2 stock. It, so far, prints just over an inch with factory loads normally with best group .89 with BlackHills .77 OTM. All my groups where 9 round groups! I call it my MOCK 12 SPR... AR15 trigger pins are supposed to rotate. If you don't have cassette triggers you shouldn't be using anti walk/anti rotation pins.

Word on the street is that Criterion makes those barrels for BCM. If that is the case then it makes total sense for them to be so accurate. My 18” hybrid profile stainless Criterion is a quarter MOA rifle with its favorite factory ammunition on a good day. It’s a quarter inch gun every day with its favorite handload which is a Berger 77gr otm in Lapua brass. N105 powder

I understand that people like the carbines, yeah they look cool. But the average sportsman/hunter ain’t clearing rooms requiring the need for a shorter barrel. I’ve always preferred my M16a2 over my M4 when I served.

I was always under the impression that the 16" barrel with carbine gas system was supposed to be some type of compramise between velocity, range and weight, at least in the civilian world of ARs.

@@jakedistlehorst6190 we cleared houses and buildings just fine with a standard M16a2. I get it though, the carbines look high speed and tacticool but I’d prefer having the velocity and range of the full size. It’s really not that big. Not like it’s a M14 or anything.

Would really like to see you guys test shoot the Savage MSR 15 Recon 2. It is a quality rifle and has very good accuracy. It would likely shoot as good or better than any AR's you have tested.

The current bill proposed, C21, suggests either they will be grandfathered but remain unusable, or surrendered for "fair market value," translating into "pennies on the dollar." Neither option is justified, I would bleed on the cross before I traded my liberty for 30 pieces of silver.

We cannot simply legislate violence out of society, this is proven time and time again with failed gun control measures. Equally unfortunate is when governments capitalise on these naive and optimistic sentiments, to claim undue power. When these governments achieve their goals, historically, it has not worked out in favour of peace nor justice.

Nice setup for sure. I think the new(ish) Primary Arms GLx 2.5-10x would be my favorite DMR/SPR rifle scope. Good for up close work, has enough zoom for most things these style rifles will be doing, great glass, and a solid price. (IMHO)

I got the Primary Arms 4-14x44mm Mrad reticle because it was on sale on black friday for very very little. I'm piggybacking a holosun hs507c on top of it for closer range capability given that the scope bottoms out at 4 power.

That's basically the same type as my first build a few years back. I used a Criterion 18" HBAR, but same handguard and same gun as a whole. Sweet shooter, bug sized groups all day long.👌

I’m sitting down to assemble a DMR rifle, decide to put on a video in the background, and here IV 8888 is with the same exact upper! BCM sometimes gets a bad rap for accuracy, but I’ve never fired any AR as accurate as the 18 inch 410 stainless. I am running a night force 5 x 20 in and a Sandman S.

I have very similiar set up with 6.8spc 18" ss target crown. Its perfect for everything you mention here, but in michigan i prefer the 6.8 for deer.. fun fun set up for sure. Very practical as well.

I helped build a 243 AR10 for a friend, that would be in my opinion a great mid range rifle. It had a 20" barrel, and shot hornady precision hunter just under 1 MOA.

Why would the military SPRs be made in 416R if SS does not do good with higher round counts (rapid fire)? I'd assume in battle they would be firing queit a bit of rounds in an engagement.

Zero recoil is impossible without an active recoil mitigation device such a as a weight that is thrown forward as the weapon is fired.what were you using to mitigate the recoil? Also what magazine solution? A modern squad automatic weapon demands a larger magazine traditionally or a belt such as the m249

The real reason for the storage compartment on the MOE stock is to have a place for your skittles, the preferred diet for snipers. Seriously, though, I could see this being a good varmint rifle, as well. There is another channel that was called woodchuckin and he has permission from farmers to go on their land and plink away at woodchucks and other destructive species. Many times, he is using a .22-250 and dials elevation for distance but can sometimes hold for wind. I have an AR-15 style rifle that I have carried for feral hog hunting on public land, using iron sights. Did not get anything, it was raining when I went. Stood in the rain for a while and realized that hogs were not going to join me.

@Nicholas Rodriguez if you’re going longer than 16” you might as well go with a bigger cartridge unless you’re just building a gun for funsies. I slapped together a 20” 5.56 build with a criterion core barrel and it’s a blast using it for hunting but I’d definitely get more out of that barrel length with something like 7.62x51 or 6.5 creedmore

Bolt looks to be running to fast. Extracting the cases around the 2 oclock position. I know its cause of the suppressor but may need to tune the gas

Nice ! I built out a DPMS system back about 10 years ago in .308 Win., with a 24" Cryo'ed DPMS Barrel to go for the big 1,000 yds ! Unfortunately, after 10 years of unemployment, I still haven't shot it. Not even to sight it in. And it was one of the last Cryo'ed barrels DPMS sold before they dropped that option on their website. I tricked it out with a Timney 3-1/2 lb. Skeleton trigger, a Magpul PRS to keep it "Snipey", and 56mm LR scope. Oh well, I'll get around to it someday !

The only weakness of 6mm ARC is the bolt head on AR15 platform. If the bolt head is made thicker with a non-standard chamber it will be perfect and able to hold full pressure like a bolt gun.

You should do some videos on surplus rifles and/or budget hunting rifles. Now is the time to either buy or learn to run what ya got. I polished up the trigger on one of my Mosins yesterday and the other is ready to be sighted in. Spent about 150 bucks on a cheap scope mount and a left handed cheek pad with ammo loops. Already had a scout scope for it. Can’t wait to get it sighted in!
