Three variants of what the Persian draw could look like. Maybe.
I'm a fast shooter not a historian. This is my view on this topic.
All three variants look similar and differ in thumb position.
All variants are suitable for combat use. They are very fast and stable when moving.
1. The thumb is locked on the string with a middle finger and a ring finger. The index finger is along the arrow and pushes it from above. The little finger is parallel to the index finger and does not touch the string.
2. The middle finger and ring finger are on the string. The index finger is along the arrow and pushes the arrow from the side. The thumb is also along the arrow, but from the opposite side and holds the arrow. The little finger is parallel to the index finger and does not touch the string.
3. The middle finger and ring finger are on the string. The index finger is along the arrow and pushes the arrow from the side. The thumb is in the back of the palm. The little finger is parallel to the index finger and does not touch the string.
Basically the same as the Slavic draw.
Ryddragyn has a very nice video on this topic.

I have a lot of questions. What arrows they used. Feathers, tips, spikes ... Have any been preserved? Did they use finger protection? What kind? If anyone knows some interesting things I'll be happy to know. Write in the comments. Thanks. Boras
