I think you’re missing Weathering With You. That piece has a lot of 4 hands and almost everything is 3 hand technique. Great compilation tho:)

True, Grand Escape has 4 hand melody in the start and too much examples for 3 hand melody, nice observation!

@@PianoTraveller1 I'd even argue for 5 voices there as the ostinato pattern technically consists of 3 melodies but the top part of the ostinato just happen to include the c# and B sort of twinkle thingy for easier reading and ofc it wasn't necessarily needed to be separated from the voice

as someone who learned it on the piano, the first thing i wanted to say when i saw the video title is: "who says i didn't notice lol?" the way animenz composed it is really genius, and has a certain beauty to it that i think can be appreciated both by listening without analysis, and with analysis, and i think it captures the original song's feeling in a way that is really difficult to do

@@79419_QuantumComputer I think Animenz has been improving on where to insert multiple layers, instead of putting notes that blurs the entire piece. P.s The “didn’t realize” thing is a content creator technique…

Departure - Guilty Crown is an example where he did 3 hands but on the easier side. Well 3 hands is hard mode to begin with but yeah. Only reason i know this tho is cuz I learned that and My Dearest were the two songs I learned b4 quitting piano. Glad to know he developed the technique even further.

I've always loved the 3-hand moments in his Nagi no Asu Kara Medley (kzitem.info/news/bejne/krCBy56OZqehYKA). I'm also just obessed with that entire performance. Personally I much more enjoy the calmer pieces than the faster / more bombastic ones. Departures is also one of my favorites of his, and also happens to have 3-hand playing as well.
