Yes a claimpoint video would be helpful. Btw I like that putting tracker, although probably tedious for me to do it can definitely help me out within a round if I start seeing I’m over or under reading or leaving it short or long or have a mental issue.

Alright, will make one soon! Thanks for the votes! Also @Mike - glad you like the tracker! It definitely feels a little tedious at first but once you enter one or two holes it gets real quick. Also I find thinking about this keeps my mind from wandering to other random things so I play better. No pressure though - whatever floats your boat 😃

Great video! I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I've already watched so many of your videos. Your knowledge and experience is very relatable and your sense of humor wrap everything up in a very enjoyable content! It is evident that you make the videos with as much effort and passion as you dedicate to your sport. I've already recommended your videos to some friends here in Brazil. Let us know if you ever want to try our golf courses here! Keep up the great work!

No way i give that much thought to my putting , the longer you look the worse it gets , a little stroll from one side of the ball to the other and back (behind the ball looking at the run)usually gives you an aim point and a pace thatll leave you two to three feet from anywhere on the green . Then you just stroke it in . Soften and loosen your shoulders and wrists while looking and trust yourself . Most importantly trust yourself .

Fair enough - totally agree on not overthinking the line! I used to have a similar routine to the one you mentioned but I wasn't making enough putts, so I dug deeper and found the stuff I mentioned here, so thought I'd share 😃

I just built a sheet to track my shots & if I followed my fundamentals on each shot like you recommended (BTW, 100% focus for 100% of shots is REALLY HARD). Now, I’m going to have to add this AWESOME sheet for my putting

Love it! Let me know how it goes! And yes, you're totally right re focus. I found I could do 80% pretty well but getting towards 90% or more was super hard. Also the more I focused on focusing, the harder it got 😅

@@upbeatgolfer, this video was actually "right on time"!!! I was unhappy with my shot tracker card when it came to putting because it didn't measure anything that I wanted to measure. This is what I want when it comes to my putting. I feel like I putt REALLY well for my HCP. I'm left with a LOT of 8' to 30' putts and I tend to only have 2-4 3-putts per 18 holes. But I want to know why I'm missing those & the things I measure off of the green aren't helping me once I'm on the green.

my best putting days are when i just walk up and hit it. overthinking is when i end up with 3 putts
@upbeatgolfer
3 ай бұрын
Agreed - that's the holy grail! Those days are the best for me for lag putting, but I found I was missing too many 6-10 footers and that's where this putting tracker really helped. It also helped me develop a good routine which got me starting more putts on line.

Great call - I'll add that to the list! In the meantime, I did make this one about different types of lies and how to hit out of them. Apologies I'm talking so fast - I sped it up because I was early in my KZitem journey and I was nervous it was too slow 😬 kzitem.info/news/bejne/l6eGzJuKqqRjlKQ
