Suggestion from a possibly ‘older foeggy’ weird and normal are nonsensical words society labels on things especially when they know and better. I like this band but weird is NOT the word I’d use at all to describe this band or their sound. If nothing else, I would say they are cool. Or there sound.Cheers! 🍸🍸

@@PhaedraGrows-wo5lj Your use of the phrase "older fogey", along with your comment as a whole comes off pretentious. I am not "society", I am one person. My comment has nothing to do with the band, or their sound, but everything to do with the youtube video as an entity. A youtube video of a tape recording from a cassette with a paper bag on it, just as a piece of media on the internet in general is unconventional and eccentric. I will use the language I like, just as you like to use the word "fogey" to describe yourself in 2023! (Which by most people you must admit, is pretty damn unconventional nowadays!) Weird means eccentric, furthermore I like weird things. Just like you do, you old fogey! Now begone! Cheers! 🍸🍸

Fantastic effort... but you need to get a better tape deck or service the one(s) you have. Poor frequency response and tracking errors distract from the music.

It's not his tape deck, he is very serious about this kind of stuff. Probably just errors with the production of the tape

Hey thanks! my Nakamichi plays fine. The tape here is a 24 years old home-dubbed first demo by a diy punk band. This was recorded by kids in their late teens on a portable 4-track a couple months before their first gig, not much to be expected here. This is more about documenting early versions of these songs, one of them never made it to actual studio releases

@@19april Ahh I see... I still run tape too and have a fair collection of decks. Fun stuff. If you can find someone with a Nak Dragon in good condition it may be able to track most of the error and give you a good fresh copy. Regards,

@@scofaboh, wish I could afford the Dragon. I compromised with a cassette deck 1, it is enough for this type of music and has manual azimuth knob. Comes especially useful with those home-dubbed tapes
