Without these guys there would be no Nirvana. Kurt said they were his biggest influence and for Smells Like Teen Spirit he said he was trying to make a pixies song.

Forget that...this song sounds like it could have just been released in 2018. I was so surprised when I looked it up to see that it was released in my birth year, 1988, making it nearly 3 decades old. That's crazy. Simultaneously fitting for its time yet way ahead of its time.

Max Pax cuz the pixies were alternative before alternative was even a genre. Them and Jane's addiction probably the 2 most important pre alternative bands that influenced others

Considering the influence Pixies had on such big bands, they didn't get the attention they deserved. Like they influenced Nirvana, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and The Strokes. Such an amazing band

They were never underated. They were big back then, and then came back just as big. If you want underated bands of the early 90's go look up the albums of Chapterhouse, 5:30, or Spacemen 3 or the Stairs...Just a few of the lost classics (theres plenty more).

the pixies are fantastic. I have a lot of wonderful memories with them. My late husband and I saw them in Spokane Washington. we drove from Missoula Mt. to see them. It was well worth it.....

Back in 1989 this song was played time and again by the girl living one floor below in the student housing. It made me get to know The Pixies. Saw them one week ago live in Amsterdam. The songs where Kim Deals plays a central role are the best.

Only recently found this song last year and it is easily one of my favorite songs of all time. I really had no idea that this song came out so long ago. It sounds like something that came out in 2020. So much of the music today is inspired by the 80’s it’s crazy. But i love the taste gen z has evolved into being😍🥰🫶🏼

The mark of a good band is how they sound live. There is nothing more disappointing then going to see a band and they sound horrible, letting you know the album you bought was all studio tweaking. The Pixies are one of those rare bands who sound better live than their records!

I remember being here 1988. The 80s was amazing, best time of my life. I still wish i could go back, underrated song. My 15 year old daughter who is turning 16 soon she is a big fan since she heard it in the car. But this live will never be anything like this, i mean this live was amazing! 👏👌

I hate this song. I was working as a software engineer in a dead-end company in Mexico City, a co-worker played this song in the office every time we worked overtime, my stress and sadness increased exponentially. It's a great song, but this one brings back terrible memories.

This is the Pixies at their unltimate best. I saw them in 1989 in Seattle when i was on acid and was blown away. They had great chemistry and stage precense back then. Of course not having any hair these days and getting older doesn't help much.
