My childhood options for cereal were cornflakes or shredded wheat. We weren’t allowed any sugary cereals. Both of included a sliced banana and warm milk not cold. We had cereal all the time as there were five of us. We had eggs if we were staying at our nanas house.

Thanks for sharing your childhood cereal memories with us, Lucy! It's interesting to hear about the different options and restrictions you had when it came to cereal. Cornflakes and shredded wheat with sliced banana and warm milk sounds like a delicious and wholesome breakfast. It's always fun to look back on the foods and meals we grew up with and how they've shaped our tastes and preferences as adults. Do you still enjoy cornflakes or shredded wheat, or have you branched out to other cereal options as an adult? Thanks again for sharing and being a part of this community!

I was one of those few blessed children who had a full time stay at home mothers. My childhood meals were always cooked, my breakfasts were often pancakes, oatmeal or eggs , toast and sausage. I don’t remember eating cereal from a box until I was a teenager.

It's wonderful to hear that you were able to enjoy homemade meals and breakfasts as a child, Status Check. It's clear that your mother put a lot of love and care into the food she prepared for you, and I'm sure that contributed to many happy memories from your childhood. Pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, toast, and sausage all sound like delicious and satisfying breakfast options. It's interesting that you didn't have cereal from a box until you were a teenager - it just goes to show how different each of our childhood experiences can be. Thanks for sharing your memories with us, and I hope they brought a smile to your face as you reminisced on those happy times.

I absolutely loved the editing on this video and loved the pop ups of the cereal boxes!! As soon as I saw the Alpha Bits box it took me back to my childhood as I think that was my favorite cereal, that and Honeycomb cereal. Loving all this pocket decorating inspiration and love all the detail you give each one. I think you set the bar for so many things in the crafty world.

It's great to hear that you're enjoying the pocket arts videos and finding inspiration in them. It's important to take time for creative activities, even if there isn't a specific reason or end result in mind. Art journaling and pocket arts can be a great way to express yourself and explore new techniques and materials. Don't be afraid to make something just for the joy of creating!

Fun stuff, Cori!!! Just a little tip to get your letter spacing easier, start in the middle of the word and work out on each side then it will be centered and you'll be less likely to run out of room for your letters. My favorite cereal for watching Saturday morning cartoons was Cap'n Crunch. Now that I think about it, I would still do that today if they had any decent cartoons to watch. I'm using pink for my color this week.

Thank you Cori for the ideas and inspiration. Loved October Afternoon! I did hear that one of the artists that worked for them went to Echo Park to design for them. When I went to look at their papers products, I could kind of see some of then same designs. But I went and looked years ago, so maybe they have changed.
