The Woodberry Poetry Room's Fall 2013 Poet's Voice series began with two poets whose commanding, audacious and kaleidoscopic works are relentlessly evolving to address the questions most pertinent to our culture and to our common humanity: Cathy Park Hong read from Engine Empire and Dance Dance Revolution and Amiri Baraka (author of Transbluesency: The Selected Poems of Amiri Baraka/LeRoi Jones and The Book of Monk) read from his loku series and shared the poem, "Somebody Blew Up America." Introduction by Prof. Michael Millner (University of Massachusetts-Lowell).
Date: October 17, 2013, recorded at the Edison Newman Room, Houghton Library.
