One of the simplest but most effective exercises you can do is to walk. Yet, not many people seem to be walking nowadays and the hidden powers of walking are overlooked.This speech takes a holistic approach to walking and explores how daily walking does wonders not just to the body, but improves our mental wellbeing and unlocks the cognitive powers of the brain. Rina Saito is a 16 year old studying at International School Bangkok. She is interested in economics and international relations, and is passionate about solving global issues, specifically climate change and poverty. She has lived in the United States, Japan, and now Thailand, and values the experience of witnessing diversity in different cultures. As such, she strives to be a global minded person. In her free time, she enjoys going on a walk with her friends and family. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
