Boy….this is the first aired episode without them, huh? They were what made the show, in the last few years of the 20th Century, as well as up to the new Millennium. There certainly were so many dark secrets kept behind the Big Doors of The Price is Right, that I know I did not feel very comfortable with, and losing Janice and Kathleen, certainly was one of those. Truly saddened for how they were not given a proper farewell, or how they could've at least left until that season was over. But on the other hand, Kathleen does seem to be in good spirits, based off of her Instagram page, and Janice, I was happy, though emotional (and still hurt over her departure), on how she was brought back to TV, after 22 years, following the passing of the TPIRGOAT, Bob Barker, himself, and talking just about the memories that she once shared with him, in her 28 years of modeling on the show, in which I praised her for. You couldn't ask for such beautiful composure from her, then. With this being said, those days of Janice Pennington, and Kathleen Bradley, as well as Nikki Ziering, together, may be long gone now, but my fondest memories of watching them as a young boy, will always live on in my heart, forever. Always. Thank you Janice, thank you Kathleen, thank you Nikki, thank you Rod, and also, thank you Bob (I still miss you, too).

@@AdamJ617 If Fremantle allows that to happen... and they sometimes can be a cold company given their stance. My hope is that if they do, they'll get their on-air camera farewell that they should have had if they knew they were going to say goodbye.

I pray one day they’ll be a special episode where some of the models from back in the day model for a day or two

Oh, boy, would that be a great episode to watch, as well as memorable, too. However, with the way the show is run today, it seems as if they wouldn’t even have those ideas floating in their minds, to even have them back, and that hurts me and other vintage fans of the show. Even I’m upset with them just leaving them out or having any mention of them, since some beautiful models were a part of the TPIR Nation, once before. The way they do it now, it feels so bland, and it doesn’t have that same sort of feel, that I once felt, when I was watching Bob Barker, all the time. I really just don’t watch too much of it, anymore, but if they ever promote it at a certain point, then I’d watch that kind of episode, for sure.

@@chrisfinch8637 And if they do return, have a proper farewell that they didn't get back in 2000. That would at least finally please the fans that were hoping to get one back (if they knew they were going to be let go).

@@RewindiumI’ve always talked to Anitra from time to time. I love how she’s so passionate about her photography, her shopping story about Ashford & Simpson’s “Found a Cure”, and how she keeps a peaceful mind, within herself. That’s basically the same way I feel about Janice, myself. They were both beautiful models, and they both know how to keep themselves going forward and asking for guidance, to go the extra mile. 💯✨❤️

That happened at one point where Johnny Olson was trying to call “Susan Dubeck/DuPont” to come on down (which later had Bob play a little delaying game on his own, for a few seconds), and when Rod tried to call “Nicole Thornson/Barrington/Thornbrough” to do the same.

@@chrisfinch8637 The Nicole Thorenson episode had the LONGEST opening. The theme music plays after Walking has finished if the contestants take so long to come on down. That happened rarely. That must be why the first 18 seconds of Walking replays since 2002.

@@tpirman1982 Well, I'm not so sure, if that was really why they did it, but apparently, they did want to loop that first 18 seconds, to really make that intro very exciting, for sure.

Ahh Yes, Jeannie and Alicia; the two absolute WORST models of all the tryouts. "TPiR" did such a disservice to Kathleen and Janice, throwing them out into the cold like they did. If they WERE indeed going to let them go and I've been saying this for years, they should've let Kathleen and Janice finish out that season in it's entirety and THEN the transition would've been easier to adjust to (and more-so ACCEPT). I remember being home from school, watching the show, Kathleen and Janice were there and then the next time I turned on the show, they were gone and Alicia and Jeannie were on (and thank goodness they were only on for a week cause they were terrible)

And after Janice and Kathleen were let go wrongfully even though Nikki stayed on, I noticed a sudden change in the wardrobe department when the younger models tried out. It got more conservative in terms of style and still remains to this day (although if you watch the early Season 1 episodes on The Barker Era streaming channel, it was conservative and sexy before they toned it down a bit on the wardrobe to make it a family-friendly show).
