We get asked from time to time how we met and how we came to live where we do - and so this is our story. We first wrote it and performed it for our wedding (a few years ago now) - but with the arrival of the laser cutter, we thought we might revive it.
As you may have noticed, this is a silhouette puppet show, with cardboard cut-outs against a sheet on a frame. Sorry it’s a bit far away and fuzzy - we need a lot more practice, don’t we?
We couldn’t have narrated and worked the puppets at the same time, so thank you so much, Lizzie, for doing a great job under difficult circumstances (we fumbled sticks, mixed props up and generally took too long to change scenes. Most of which has been cut out of this video).
Anyway, we hope this answers all of your questions about the origins of ‘Way Out West’. Surely it couldn’t be any clearer??
Thanks too to our live audience - excellent sound effects, guys - and to Maggie, who narrated the original version, and Caro, who helped with the original performance too.
