@wintonnguyen

Funny enough this video gave me the reverse question of “Are these songs made for TikTok?”. Basically there’s phonk, a pretty popular genre you probably know, and the there’s subgroups called “Brazilian/Edit Phonk”, which is basically Phonk on steroids. I always wondered why these types of songs felt the same (Same instruments, same repetitive catchy beat through the entire length of the song, nothing actually technical or deep, etc.) And then I realized that was the point. It’s supposed to have that one moment 90% of people will know from you, because short-form videos like TikTok promote that type of fast-paced stuff. I know it has edit in the name so I should have known it was for edits in social media but it was a revelation to me.

They are popular in Slavic Countries, but I'm so happy that they aren't that popular in westernized countries. It's like a little peace between me, myself, and the slavic europeans. The difference is most memes before tiktok weren't being shoved down your throat, and for those memes the song itself was literally the meme or a miniscule part of it is, so it was a good balance. Also back in the day people were just less lazy and had longer attention spans to actually listen to that song lol, and memes didn't go out of fashion in a matter of 2 weeks.

All i have to say is if you find a song on TikTok and you like, try to find the actual song, learn the lyrics to it, find other songs by that person or group of people and when you attend they're concert, it doesn't matter if you're the only one singing along and if you have terrible vocals. burdie / duck lore so far There are burds, ducks, and stick figure people living in harmony in the same universe. most stick figure people are white (like the color) and dont wear clothes unless shown otherwise. (like slash in the burdie art style, or any other stick figure shown wearing clothes as an example.) in one of burdies videos about tiktok trends, there is a girl looking outside to see a bird, which looks exactly like burdie but a different color. burdie acts like a person, while that bird was shown hopping around and acts like an actual bird. there are other burds and ducks in this universe, and they come in many colors. burds and ducks can grow hair in this universe. in the growing up as the fat kid video, burdie is shown being delivered by a stork, but in the ducks video about forgotten trends, he is shown doing the gangnam style in the womb. burdie and the duck have stick figure parents... are they adopted? the ducks full name is duck duckolo, where did he get his last name from? the duck also mentions the family bloodline, which is refered to as the duckolo bloodline. and when is shows members from this bloodline, it shows other ducks. there is a good chance that the duck was adopted by the stick figure parents based of this alone. the dorbol species (and other youtubers) exist in this universe. burdie and the duck use their wings as hands, and dont seem to be able to fly. burdie and the duck sometimes wear clothes, if so, how do they put them on? do their stick figure parents dress them? burdie's channel banner shows a burd house, which contains a burd civilization. the burdie / duck universe contains pop culture, brands, and celebrities like playboi carti. who are wurdie and duckie in relation to burdie and the duck? other family members? Wurdie videos surprisingly feature more burds in the videos, could this hint that wurdie lives in the burd society, and burdie was with the stick figures due to being adopted by them? if people and burds flirt with each other and gain crushes with each other.... do they hook up and have- Apparently religion exists in the burdie universe according to the afterlife theories video.... I'm not really sure how to feel about that...

omg i'm only one minute in and i agree. i was on molchat doma concert, and like, it's so clear they're not a "tiktok band", it's just that sudno blew up. i had lots of fun as i knew a big chunk of their songs, but my ex only waited for sudno 😭

One artist with the worst case of NPC song syndrome is Emei. Only the second prechorus of Love me Not and the chorus of Irresponsible are famous, and honestly, they're her 2 worst songs IMO. If you want a good Emei song, listen to Cynical

The fact that the music industry is so controlling and has signed artists pumping out songs with little substance or a demonic meaning is why I no longer listen to modern rap or drill. And my biggest pet peeve of the industry? CLEAN VERSIONS. It's a big industry move that waters down the original song only for that artist to be more mainstream, which throws the authenticity out the window.

The only reason this overplayed thing is relevant is because tiktok is where all the popular parts of popular musics are used alot which gives the impression that people only know those parts but let's be honest no body is playing a tiktok audio on their phone on repeat you find a good song go to Spotify or any music app and listen to it no one is brain dead enough to keep playing a tiktok audio this imaginary generational beef is quite dumb just because you don't like something doesn't mean people are wrong for liking it you don't like tiktok that's fine but don't think yourself superior for doing so you are on KZitem and the older generations don't like KZitem and think you're brain dead for liking it

It's 50/50 honestly because some artists are on the scene for years waiting for a break through and then they get popular on tiktok and it is a good thing at first because it helps people find new stuff but then it just gets overplayed too much. But then you have artists who are like on the scene for like 2 months and become tiktok famous and then take off. I've discovered some artists on tiktok that I keep listening to whether they are trending or not because I remember when teenagers by my chemical romance was trending and then I listened to it and then discovered more of their music and from there I found other artist that I like and just that I like that genre in general (I know my chem was already a big band I just never listened to them up until that point) so just to sum it back up to the original point: sometimes it's good sometimes it isn't, or sometimes its good and gets overplayed too much

My favorite singer is Conan Gray and It’s SO ANNOYING THAT EVERY TIME I TELL SOMEONE HE IS MY FAVORITE SINGER PEOPLE BE LIKE “ Isn’t he the Heather/Maniac guy?” 💀 And Heather is my favorite song but when I tell that there’s literally people getting mad saying I am a fake fan 💀 dude- I didn’t even knew Heather was popular until the end of 2022, I love Conan because I relate to his music and to him as a person, he’s super nice and funny and watching his KZitem videos + listening to his music makes me happy ❤️

I’m sad people only know him because of 2 amazing songs that became viral and trends, some people actually pay attention to his music and want to listen more but others just put his music on the most random videos just to get views and that’s just sad, not only for Conan but for every artist that at this point is only known because of tiktok :( People should give more credit to the good artists we have in our generation that actually care and put love in the music they are making❤
