It is normal. With practice, studying and a lot of googling, eventually you will see that you can understand this and do it as well. The big picture here is: - Backend Framework for routing, templating, manipulating database and connect to web sockets. - Front end code to connect and listen to the socket messages, some css and js for styling and interaction.

@@Juan.Irizar So if you want to learn backend (for example flask) you also need to learn frontend? Or it is just extra. By learning frontend I mean doing more than simple HTML files and some CSS copied from the internet. I don't really understand what is happening in the JS part of this project.
@Juan.Irizar
3 жыл бұрын
@@Arhan3l Frontend and backend are different, but down the road you will eventually know from both sides, of course if you plant to make web applications. I personally don't know about flask, but I know is a web Framework, so you will need to know some frontend eventually. Today frontend developers focus for the most part in frameworks like React, Vue, Angular etc to create single page applications that access data from APIs, this APIs could be done with anything in the backend including flask with python. If you have more questions let me know, I'll be happy to respond to the extend of my knowledge.

@@Juan.Irizar Huh. I just think that learning proper programming is a really long road. The funny part is that I have contact with programming since high school (almost 7 years), but I have never made any big projects. Most time I spent was doing some small things with c++ or learning basic stuff over and over in college. Right now I am sitting with python and doing my diploma thesis on neural networks, but it's again some basic stuff. The best thing that helped me learning stuff was the internship, but it was only 2 months so you know. I asked about frontend because I don't really know anything about it besides some HTML and CSS magic.

I am new to programming. I am currently learning python and have been using numerous sources to learn. As my main aim was to use python for automation, my main source has been the udemy course Automate the boring stuff with python along with the text book for exercises. However, I have come across a few problems. I am learning to create programs. For example I have learnt how to make a web scraper. The problem is, I know how to make one but I dont fully understand it. Like i know to use the beautiful soup module and I know what functions to import as the course/books tell me. But i dont fully understand. Like if i was to create a program completely different. How do i know what modules to use and what functions are in that module that i could use? On the course it tells you what functions to use but the thing is, if i didnt watch the video, how would i know what function to use. It doesn't tell you where you can find the functions and use what you need. Although this is the only flaw in a really good book i have to say, I have learnt a lot from this course but this part i seem to struggle with and it seems to be the same with other courses i have tried. I want to be a programmer that will be given a problem and i know how to create a solution. Like i will know exactly what module to use, what functions are in that module that i will need etc. For now i am just learning to make an app for a problem the course provides me but i dont know how i would be able to alter it to tailor my own circumstances. I want to be able to understand everything that I am writing. I know that this will only come with experience, but i just need to get the ball rolling. I have seen loads of similar questions on the internet and the majority of them say to just build as many applications as you can. However, actually doing this is a little more daunting if you dont understand it properly. So my main question is for you is when you first started programming regardless of what language it was, is how did you break through the barrier that is holding me back at the moment. Like what did you do after learning the syntax , what did you build own your own, how did you get there, how did you know what modules/functions to use and how do you understand fully what you are actually doing rather than just learning a method to a specific problem and apply those to different problems? Thanks

Code a project that does something with the system. Google help to get you going, then understand what "features" are important to you (possibly for future projects), then break down/mess with/test/play with/expiriment with the code to understand why it does and doesn't work in certain situations, then you'll start to understand things that are important at more of a fundamental level. Learning about stuff that doesn't have a use to you is trivial learning , at best. Breaking down your work will help you better understand things like objects, arrays and many important keywords. I wonder if you didn't have this KZitem channel and just had this project that "got you the job" whether you'd still get an offer... probably not, but I could be wrong
