The Quality of Your Life Depends on This
Our vitality is hanging in the delicate balance between two forces, two processes, the force of creation and the force of decomposition. The slightest imbalance between the two, puts our energy into a “danger zone”, a third state - a state of decay.
I emphasize that Decay and Decomposition are two completely different forces, two different processes and it is important to know the difference between the two to help us understand which energy we embody (literally give our bodies to - legs, voices, hands etc) and which one of these energies therefore makes up the world around us.
Let’s look at them closer. What is one of the things an energy needs to manifest?! An intention! Yes. Let’s look at the intention behind all of these energies to understand whether they are desirable or not.
What stands behind the energy of creation? Easy! Its intention is to add, combine, bring to life, make available for others,, make something new and so on! I would say that it is an awesome energy and yes - I would love to give it my body to do things in the physical!
What is the intention behind the energy of decomposition? To break things down, to simplify, to clear out, to take something complex and break it down into smaller parts that can be easily returned back into the cycle of life. Bam! Great! Love it. It compliments the energy of Creation in every way.
Now what stands behind Decay??? How does it even happen?
Well, when the energies of Creation and Decomposition are out of balance - enter the third state - or Decay.
When we create too much without letting go of enough we find ourselves in overabundance of creation - there is so much of everything, it is unused and begins to decay.
Similarly, when the energy of Decomposition dominates and we break down and give away faster than we create - we find ourselves in hollow emptiness, another form of decay. Think of tooth decay - the body is not making new tissue to fill up the gap and so it decays.
So what is the intent behind the process of decay?
To understand it better let’s look at real life examples. Think of a rotten, decaying fruit - it attracts the not so desirable swarms of flies. Same with a decaying tooth - it invites an army of bacteria whose only intent is to consume, possibly get high on all that sugar in the process, and procreate, procreate, procreate!
In short - it is called PARASITISM. And THAT is what we embody when we are in a state of decay. And that is what we see around us. Life becomes all about consuming and procreating.
That’s is why it is so important to keep our bodies from this danger zone of decay.
When any part of our body is decaying - these parasitic energies attach themselves to us, hitching free rides through us and into the world around us, turning us from creators into zombies.
Personally, I fight this battle every day, over and over again finding myself moving through life like a zombie. It takes effort to snap out of it and to examine where this imbalance between my Creative and Decomposing forces is coming from, and to make changes.

P.s. the two wonderful books that confirm everything that seems to be installed into me by default, the two authors that back up with science and traditional knowledge that which I feel intuitively - are #TendingTheWild by M. Kat Anderson and #BraidingSweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
P.s. p.s. there is no excuse - but sometimes I mix up the two authors and the contents of these two books, as I am reading them parallel to each other and they have filled up my space with inspiration simultaneously. Therefore I ask forgiveness for any such confusion and most importantly I thank both ladies for undertaking this immense work and bringing much needed knowledge and wisdom into our thirsty world - the true water bearers, the bearers of life - M Kat Anderson and Robin Wall Kimmerer.
