Hi, I don’t often comment. I have watched you awhile and I find you motivating. The question “ what would my life look without this “ is the questions I have been waiting for! It’s brilliant. Grabbing a garbage bag and doing a huge house sweep! Thank you!

@@EricaLucasLovesbelieve me, you’re winning!! Do you ever look back at old videos? Like when the stuff in the attic was covered in fibreglass, or when your basement was jammed full? Your “clutter” now is the size of an ant compared to an elephant.

A wonderful important video. You always make it so clear which items lead to Enrichment of you and your family's lives versus what drags you down. 💛 It is wonderful that Andy has more and more time to be with you all and that the kids are young enough to have their lives Flourish !! by time with you both.

You’ve already decluttered so much that adding this in doesn’t overwhelm your space- but if you had tried to do this years ago I have a feeling there would’ve been no space and if you had it you might not have been able to find it- I picked up quilting and I’m finding the same thing that managing less on a day to day basis meant room in my life for something new I use and enjoy.

“What would my life look like without this item?” is such a great question to ask. Erica, I like your way of evaluating what exactly you need to have, to begin a new hobby, as in “What is more cost effective to own outright and what is it better to rent to begin with, when hobbies come into our lives”. I like that you evaluated just what you needed for your family to go on the snowboarding trip and also I thought it was good how you considered the storage of the items you purchased as soon as you bought them, so they always have a ‘home’ somewhere in your house.

So true. My husband has started hiking and camping. The one in/one out rule didn’t work, so it was starting to feel a little overwhelming in our front hall and basement. We took the doors off his office closet and created shelves and hooks for all that “stuff”. It now has a space, and I don’t have to look at it all around our home. Once it had a place the mental load of managing it came off me.

Snowboarding and skiing is so fun. If the kids like it, you could go to a ski swap next fall, some equipment you will pack away for next year and they will outgrow it! ❤

Good job reusing emptied boxes 🙌 Just an idea...storing items by person is a good way to categorise. Makes it easier to take out one box per person to go through with that person to check if they still fit etc when you're getting ready for next time. 🏂

Great video! You are changing my thinking. I had thing that I kept my paperwork, bills, mail etc. I sat and looked at it for days, then I thought does this help me? Do I need it ? It was just disorganized mess. I never could find what I needed. So, I had my grandson empty it out on my bed ( to force me to deal with the mess). Then I put it in the donate pile. I dealt with the mess and figured out what would work best for me. I am so happy with the result. You taught me that!
