Loved how he would drop something like this then some Swiss Yodelling music.. Then some Stupids or Napalm Death then some techno.. Whatever was breaking, or Classic, he was on it.. Miss that guys shows.. and the way he would accidentally play the wrong side or wrong speed etc.. and just be nice to hear him talk too.. he was so Great.. Really glad i got the chance to tune in on the radio back in those days through the static

@@user-zf9en2lt4myes he was technically a terrible DJ.. that was part of the fun of listening to him.. when he'd play the wrong side of a record, or play a record at the wrong speed, or play his favourite track over and over again.. he played so much very interesting music at a time that there was NO internet to listen to underground music on.. So lots and lots of people really loved him, sad loss.. if you didn't like him that's fine I'm sure he would not want everyone to like him anyway and never set out to be that.. He gave many bands a chance to be heard across the uk at a time when there were very few ways TO be heard.. and for that many many people loved him and the music selection he played.. He was a Selector really, in the true sense.. He Didn't give s sh!t if you liked it or not and that made his selection of tunes and his presentation style legendary and much loved by many

People were coining the phrase 'Jungle' to this and similar tracks as far back as late 91' mate. But at the same time you can certainly call this Hardcore. Either way it's a classic track regardless of what genre we put it under : )

mickeybeam75 this track and a lot of SUAD stuff ushered in the jungle tekno. IBIZA was another label that was pioneering the sound ... the best era imo

I used to rinse this way back then prob to a point of over playing it but was for me a bouncing bass floating tune that kept the people in derbys cheeks puffing.Extremely simple tune but so effective and for me arguably one of the top 3 s.u.a.d releases..Top upload micky...cheers.

...have been 'borrowed' or helped inspire this prodcution - perhaps that's why it's called 'mixed' truth? Who knows....does anyone really care? Probably not...anyway, several yrs later I really enjoy listening to this track, it has a nice understated feel, a great bassline hook and a simple but effective breakbeat pattern....as dance music goes quite classy and well thought out...well played SUAD :D

it's interesting listening to this for the upteenth time so many years later...I used to disregard the tune as being fairly monotonous and boring...what I craved from my 'Hardcore' was fast crunching amen-like breaks, rushy pianos and underground keyboard stabs....if you listen more closely you can pick samples that sound like they're from a batch of '91 esque 'Hardcore' tracks - as well as 'Pacific State's' main riff as you already stated....sounds possibly like "Charly"and "Night In Motion"
