Coming from a player myself, all these techniques mentioned in the video are 100% valid and will undoubtedly improve your range. But sometimes you may not have enough strength in your arms and wrists to get a accurate shot off, so I’d recommend doing shots without jumping and doing weight training targeting your upper body and lower back as well

@@harlowatkins6628 bro don't cap. its the weight training involved like A LOT. if they dont have strong triceps and all that to shoot the ball from deep they would airball their shots a lot. of course its also about practice and form,im not denying that, but it's also about the weightlifting their coach puts them to do

Not sure if this tip would help, due to multiple slipped discs along my spine, I started shooting high arc shots about 1.5 feet behind the free throw line without jumping as landing is painful for me, like a car without shock absorber. Been doing this for about a year, now I can shoot 3 about 2 feet behind the 3 point line with very little jumping. The trick is to aim and shoot higher, finding the “flicking up” and “pulling down” sweet spot on your fingers just before the ball leave your hand. I can shoot 3’s for like 1.5 hours without getting tired. The best way I can describe the mechanic is it is like a catapult. When you feel that sweet spot, you know the ball is swishing in before it does :-)

When people say that they don’t realize that technique is everything, that’s the reason we “practice” is for our bodies to develop the perfect technique to do something specific. You can’t shoot with the same form from 5 feet as you do with 30 feet. You naturally have to make changes for range. Technique is why Usain Bolt out runs everyone because he mastered the perfect running technique through practice. That’s why Lebron is a great one foot dunker and etc.

I think I am more and more implementing these techniques naturally over the time I'm beginning to play more basketball again. Yet, I often find, that I lack a lot of power even for deep 3 point range or normal 3 point range from the top of the key. I wonder why that is? I shoot two-motion. Could this be the case? Yet, two-motion is the technique I feel comfortable with, as for me, it suits to my release and I have more control over the ball, I think. Do I have to change it in order to shoot deeper?
