Playing Devils Advocate for the last girl- ALSO NOT SAYING SHE IS IN THE WRONG BUT JUST OFFERING ANOTHER PERSEPECTIVE- Maybe the friend was hurt that you didn’t feel comfortable enough coming to her about what you were going through and the way she responded was her trying to make you feel bad about making her feel bad? AGAIN- not an appropriate response on her end but I suppose it’s possible that her feelings were hurt. If she’s open to it, and if you want to try to mend the relationship, I’d say try reaching out to have a better and more productive talk!

To the caller talking about growing up, the best advice is to just jump right into life! Find the hobbies you like, if you are EVER scared of how to do something then just Google how to do it. If you are ever on the phone with someone and don't understand or have questions just ask they're normally very nice. Also if you see youre falling a bit behind in "adulting" set yourself a schedule! I used to have a difficult time figuring out how to keep my house clean, so I blocked out days I did certain things :) Overall, you've GOT THIS!

** BINGE EATER HERE ** (well in recovery). I did years of work with a dietitian and therapist (still see the therapist) in order to get to a point where I was no longer bingeing and here are a few major things I learnt: - give yourself permission to eat ALL food. No food is good or bad, it's just food. My homework at times was literally stock up on the foods I used to binge on. The thing is, if you always have them accessible in the cupboard, eventually, you'll realise that there's no need to binge on them as these foods are always going to be there. Sure you might binge for the first few days or week, but eventually the food will lose its power over you. I can now have so many different foods in the cupboard and eat all of them in moderation - figure out why you are bingeing - is it emotional, boredom, a coping mechanism etc, and work on that with a therapist - restriction = bingeing. bingeing often comes from restriction, so do. not. restrict. If you are craving something (genuinely) have it. Otherwise, you will not listen to your cravings for so long that you will end up bingeing 10x more food than if you were to just listen to the craving in the first place. Pair the food you are craving with other more nutritious food, like fruit, so you are satisfied AND full. I could go on & on but these were big ones for me, especially the first one. It sounds so simple but it changed my life - to just let myself eat the foods. Don't be so hard on yourself, you've got this. 🩷🩷🩷

If you can’t be honest with your best friend & support each other in the way they need support.. you’re not best friends. ALSO, I’m 29, graduated college, married, bought a house, pregnant with my 2nd child & I still feel like I should be 18-21. “Growing up” is a tripppp & it’s not linear. You just do the dang thing I guess haha
@sweetReaper

My advice as a 34 year old is, don’t grow up. Be smart and responsible where it matters with money etc, but the moment you lose all of your childishness is when you really start to age in the way people don’t want to. I “adult” just fine but I still buy all the toys and gadgets I always wanted when I was young and couldn’t afford it and it really helps balance out my life.

I agree it's not good for the partner to get mad at the 3rd party girl for telling her her man is cheating in a respectful informative way. However I DONT agree that the 3rd girl "doesn't owe her anything". In my opinion all humans owe each other a base level of respect. Telling a woman that her man is cheating on her when you find out that information is base level respect in my opinion.

Binging tips: chew gum if you feel like you absolutely have to snack. When you’re not hungry, go to the pantry and touch your trigger foods and make a point not to eat anything. It sounds weird but it really works. I’ve done it throughout the day myself and it helps so much. Also, if you’re craving something that you cannot forget about, go ahead and eat a small portion of that food. If it’s chocolate, eat a small bit of chocolate or you’ll be chasing that taste with other food all day. Also, I’m watching all of these episodes super late.

I didn’t start dating until I was 22. I also pulled the “I’m asexual” because it was easier than saying I really thought I’d never find anybody based on my appearance. I could NEVER imagine finding a man that sees me as beautiful just as I am that also has a totally different body type from me (I’m plus size, he’s thin and very physically fit). I took a huge chance in telling my now husband I was in love with him, but I knew I couldn’t hold it in. It was a perfect love story, but I truly believe we were meant to be. Not to sound crazy lol. But yes, TELL HIM.

First Call: I was in a very similar situation, where the guy wanted to date me but he was with someone else. And he "says" that they're breaking up. Just from my experience, he will most likely cheat and do it again with you if you pursue a relationship. It was very messy. I was young, dumb, and unexperienced. But I've learned and grown from then. But it's just not worth it. He is not the only guy. You do nottttt want to get into that.

The caller about growing up irritated me and idk why lol. I've had that 9 to 5 since I was 16 years old. Now that I'm an adult, it's way more than a 9 to 5, bc a 9 to 5 can't pay my bills. I couldn't afford to go to college, wasn't good enough for scholarships or student loans. I'm glad ppl have the privilege to not have to do that, but still, it irritated something in me. It suprises me that there's ppl that can make it to college graduate age w/o ever having paid a bill, like rent. Like girl you're never going to feel grown up. It's going to be hard and it's going to suck ass. Finding an apartment is going to be very very expensive and I hope the degree you graduated with is going to help you get a real career. Bc there's a lot of degrees out there that won't do anything for you.

I will say I dated a guy back in high school for a couple months and he cheated on me. After we broke up we were still in the same friend group and he would occasionally try to slide back into my DMs in THAT way and it went on and on for about 10 years. To the point when he knew I would not speak to him he made fake profiles and pretended to be someone else. I told the girls every single time and I have not once gotten a good reaction from the girl. It was always my fault or I was just jealous or they just thought I was trying to stir drama. From personal experiences I no longer tell the girl I just cut off the guy because girls just simply are not girls girls these days.
