Don’t worry about Lambeau, he’s not bothering us! 😉 For real, he’s easy to take care of and he earned his keep at the Nativity. Sometimes it's good to write it all down. Categorize three things that are priority. Tiny house, fencing, barn. Fencing is a priority for 1,2,3.... house ect. Sounds like you're feeling overwhelmed. Start a list bite off a little at a time accomplishing what you can. Soon you'll find that projects are getting done, giving you the momentum to complete them all. Jason, I have seen you go from a tarp in the woods to a tent in a winter storm. Look how far you've come. You'll figure it out. I'll pray for you, YOU GOT THIS!

I have subscribed to your channels over the years. I am 74 years old and I am a woman, married, with several children. I do not often comments. Mostly I figure that you and Danielle talk about what you want to achieve together and you need little input from people who don't know you well. That said, I feel a sense of importance to say a few words and then let you do what you decide to do. Danielle has recently made a decision to do what is best for her by continuing to work in the healthcare area. I applaud her for making that decision. Mostly people only get one or two times in their life to make important decisions and she decided to go with her heart. Hoo-RAY!! All that said, sometimes, as I've watched the progress that you've made over the years, I've noticed that sometimes you both make decisions that are base less on rational thought and more on emotional needs. Well, you are both adults now and your lives together are slipping away because of some emotional decisions you've made. If your primary focus is on the two of you being together and building a life together and a family, the clock is ticking. I say get rid of everything in your lives that prevent you both from being together and making a family - even if it is ALWAY only you and Danielle. You are not giving your animals the best you have because you both have not enough time to do that. You are not giving yourselves the best because you both have not enough time to do that. In general, your lives have spiraled out of control just at the time that you made the GREAT decisions to sell Shoot Dang and begin again. So, why make the same mistakes over and over again. You cannot support all the animals you have . . . there is not enough time or money or energy to do all that. Be really smart. Cut back on your responsibilities and begin with the very basics. First, a home. You have not had a home ever. You bounce from pillar to post, in town, on the ranch, in the camper, at the building, and /or on the road. Make decisions and stick to them. There will be plenty of time to have goats and dogs and cattle and emotionally rewarding animals once you have the basics covered. I have read many of the previous comments that advise you to keep the animals. I don't agree. Keeping the animals is an emotional decision, not a rational one. Animals are NOT your children no matter how emotional you feel about them. You have made a great decision selling Shoot Dang and starting over. Now continue making smart decisions and put yourself and Danielle and your life together FIRST!!! In six months of just taking care of yourselves, without animals, you will have made more progress than you ever thought possible. AND, you won't have any diversions - baby goats, pigs, turkeys, puppies, etc. - to keep you and Danielle from handling problems in your life. Give yourselves a SIMPLE, UNCLUTTERED chance!! I'm praying for you both and asking God to hold you in the palm of His hand. Trust your hearts and trust your wisdom. You BOTH have much! Leslie Ann

Jason, you don't want road water filling the pond, especially if it is piped direct from the roadside ditch and not filtered by the ground. With as much standing water as you have there, you should grade some shallow swales to funnel the ground water to the pond. Also, don't buy any more grass seed, you want to find seeds native to your area, you can always check with the local AG extension office to find where you can get it. It will grow much better, and provide better nourishment for Lambau and the goats. Follow PRRs example and check with some grocers, markets or even restaurants the sell fruits and veggies and get their damaged and their out of date stuff to help feed Breakfast, Hank and the goats.

I moved to KY 2 years ago. 1st thing i built was a temp fence for my pup, then i built a shop, which i live in now. i then built a permanent fence around my entire property, giving my pup more room to roam and a bigger composting toilet...lol. i have finally been able to work on building my cabin, which is dried in, as far as a roof on it and walls up...a couple windows cut out and doors r framed in. i did install my power pole, after a year off-grid and i just installed the waterlines, which consist of a hydrant and stub out for the cabin. 2 years...and i work alone. U got this brother. u got a good woman backin ya too. steady wins the race and the pets have food and shelter. sit back and enjoy the ride. ❤🔥💪🙏

Then maybe consider having someone help with the barn. That way, all of your equipment is safe from the elements. You're blessed to have your in town property, that you can sleep and shower, and do your work at. With Danielle having her new job , I'm sure you're both super overwhelmed. Slow down, take your time. Setting priorities is the hardest part of overwhelming tasks that are there. I think you couldn’t have it better, compared to where you started, Jason. Maybe pay some of the feed costs at the Junod’s, that would be significant enough to offset some of their costs.. I am sure they realize your situation. I don’t know how much Lambeau could be bothering them. Just communicate and do all you can. Junod’s are very wonderful people and would probably let you know if they feel you are taking advantage. All you can do is put your hand to the job and bite off as much as you can. You do have good shelter and food and shower capabilities.

That way, you're killing 2 birds with 1 stone. The fence and barn are getting done all at once. Bam, the animals are taken care of. Then you and Danielle can start on the tiny house. You have a lot on your plate right now! Asking for help takes guts, and I'm soooo glad you're asking! I'm the same way. I never ask for help because I feel I'm the helper. I'm the giver, not a good taker. But when I was diagnosed with cancer, I learned really quickly how to become a taker and accept the help. Yall have got this! I have no doubt in my mind! Two options really -I think I’ve said before that you should have a barn raising party . Just having help with that one thing with a group of trusted friends will make the project move forward quickly . So you still will only have paid 6-7,000 for the barn ,but it will be out of the way so fast . I think it’s the same for the fence . Ask for local volunteers to come and help . Ask your community for help . I think many people would jump at the chance to be there and support you guys to get over this hump . It’s that or option 2-you get rid of all the animals accept the dogs and Breakfast, build the tool shed big enough to keep supplies and then start on the house ,So you can start fresh with the house and build back up from there to get the animal back . When you got rid of the goats before, you guys seems so relaxed and happy. Just saying .

I completely get the creative brain overwhelm when things really get cooking! As I've aged, I've learned to appreciate letting go of things. It's so freeinbg. Only you guys can know what order you want to do things and what to let go of and be free of. I know you guys will know what to do and when it comes to you, you'll do it - that's also a part of the creative mind. For me, I'd let the animals go for now and build them back up later when you feel comfortable in your home. But, only you two know what you want to focus on right now. Follow your creative gut and it will tell you. Don't be afraid to let go of whatever seems freeing to let go of. It will come back around to you as you follow your creative path building a good life for yourselves. I've been amazed at how quickly you've shaped things up. To shut down the brain so to say is to put everything down in written word. Categorize, then prioritize those things. Take the highest of those priorities and now expand out on it as much as is necessary to have a step by step process down. Sounds like it would be time consuming, but it is much less so than just staying awake and trying to get it done just in the head alone. I know this because it's my brain as well. I had a Uncle that I was staying with some 30 years ago that asked me, man do you ever sleep, or stop just to try and sleep. My answer was, I can't. Back then I slept maybe 1-3 hours a day. It damaged far beyond what I ever thought it would do. Lost both my kidneys, and today with diabetes, sleep apnea and a host of other issues I now spend so much more time dealing with those things, and yes I learned to prioritize as I wrote above, and now I sleep a good 6-9 hours straight without interrruption. It is a must thing to do.

One thing I’ve noticed about many of the homesteading channels is they start getting animals before they get their home built.. And they don’t have shelters for the animals built.. let alone for themselves… I’m not trying to mean or judgmental especially since I’m not a homesteader.. But I’ve raised 3 children that are probably your age.. It’s hard but sometimes you have to stop and reevaluate what your wants and needs are.. And your ability to distinguish what is realistic and reasonable.. I can’t state what I think you should do… Just write down your priorities and set up a plan from there… Good luck and God bless ❤ Stay focused on your goals… I have an A.D.D. Issue so I totally understand… But sometimes you got to reevaluate and start all over.. Stuff happens.. it all came from a good place… no shame in that.. You and Danielle need to work through it.. Sell the boy goat and the babies, so you don't have baby goats in a few months Then do your barn/shop in one. You built the barn at SDR if I am correct in a month(Dec 2022). The momma goats won't stress you out with the piggies and Lambeau. You and Danielle have the studio, just put in a nice bed. You also have the camper. Sorry, this was a long one. Yes, it will take away the money from building the house BUT, you still have steady money coming in and will be able to still do the things you want to do. It may take a little longer, but it can still be done. That will take the stress of having to do them yourself off your plate. In the meantime, if you are that uncomfortable, you still have the studio and the house in town that you can spend the night at once in awhile. Also, with having the studio, why not just sell the house in town and Danielle can just stay at the studio when she has to work. I know it may be a longer commute but it can be done in order to get extra funds together for your home build.

I thought it was said in a previous video that the commute from the studio to the hospital was actually about 30 mins less than from someday ranch to the town house, Although I could be wrong but im sure that was said.

Jason, if we see a mountain that needs moved and try to do it all at once then it seems impossible. We had several acres that needed fenced in and hired a young man to help us. We used T posts except in front and had him put all the posts in. It took him seven hours for over 200 posts. We then pulled our fence and the three of us wired to posts. Took us three days. My point is the fence could be done with some help in less than a week. Then start on your house. One step at a time. One shovel at a time, and you will move that mountain. You can do this! Don’t get discouraged.❤ you can wait on the barn. Most livestock are fine without shelter. The young man I hired to help cost 500.00❤By the way we are in our Sixties.

For most you need to be comfortable before anyone can be given y’all’s 100 percent, if your living uncomfortable and lack rest, everyone feels it including pets! The way I’d tackle it is week on pets needs week on your needs aka tiny house🤷🏻♂️

Life has taught me to take a moment and a day at a time. Stress causes health problems. Do what you can as you can. We ( my husband and I ) lived off the land in Tennessee, for about four years. Weather, everything affects you, especially in tending to the animals, and getting things done. Do what you can as weather allows, everything will get done. Maybe not in time you what, but it will get done. Hang in there. Also you are missing her, look forward to when she"ll be there. Bad days work inside , good days work outside, even if the days are split, in and out. In time all will get done. It's been 20 some years since then, I now have health problems from stressing out. That's why I say take a moment and a day at a time. It"s not worth messing your health up for later. Don't mean to lecture, it's what life taught me. My husband was a truck driver, I know when your partner is not with you, you do tend to stress more,

Jason followed you since SDR. My advice is pay for the fencing to be done. You Work on the barn. This will secure The animals. Don’t get rid of them please. Then the house. It will make things easier once animals are safe. I never leave comments but thought this would help. Thanks for sharing your life with everyone.

Always, always take care of the animals first. They can't take care of themselves. Do you after they are cared for. Then it will feel so much better when you are doing your tiny home. Be a good steward of those beautiful animals.

One thing at a time. Life can overwhelm you very easily. Work on your fencing, then the barn, use the barn to store your tools and stuff, and then work on your home. You got this.

😮Let's take this in order ... keep the animals. They are a commitment both of you made. Sell off the ones you had already planned to harvest at some point. Build the barn, install the fence then bring Lambeau back home. Now ... build your home. Do all of this yourself so you don't lose the advantage of being debt free. When the house is complete then you can go in any direction you chose. I've done what you are doing when I was in my 30s. Hard work yes but SO rewarding when complete. Hang in there .... get that burning determination in the center of your chest and focus. God bless.

I think getting yourselves settled into yur house should be top priority everythinhg else can wait ,on that note my family used to have build parties ,what i mean by that is getting together freinds and family taking a week or so and havig everyone come help do the work ,their payment ,ffood ,fun and comroderie and helping them when the need arises..mind you we had a large family so that made this much easier to do ..

Jason . Just take a deep breath relax your mind and allow whatever is going to take place when it happens. I know that you and Danielle have people around you that love you both . I’m a 1000% sure if you need more help you will get it. I also know 1000% if your friends needed help you would do it with no hesitation. If you need to get the fence done quickly either pay for it to be done or get the help you need. Just please don’t get rid of your beautiful animals. But whatever you decide to do is up to you and Danielle , and no one else. Like I said whatever is going to happen let it happen on its own. Keep up up the awesome work. With much love and support and respect. Michael S. Smith

You need an orginization binder. Put sections in it. House, barn, fencing etc...whereas one month maybe you use your income to work on house needs, next you build fencing or gather supplies. Only other way to do it is rid yourself of everything but house project. Build it. Then recollect animals after you got all the barns and fencing in. Two methods pretty much alternate projects in which you work on by month or scrap all and work on one project until each is completed. Either choice can work. 😊

I think you have a lot of options, especially since the "studio " is very liveable. Let's start off with goals. Why livestock? I am the cousin, newphew, and grandson of dairy farmers. The purpose of their livestock was milk production, increasing the herd and its life cycle. I wouldn't recommend dairy farming as that is domestic slavery, but what is your plan for the goats? Some of your animals (pigs) are treated as pets. Your business but on our farms, they were food on 4 hooves. So, in my mind, having shelter so close to the homestead, given your situation, my priorities would be: 1. complete fencing in the property and animal pens; 2. build whatever barns are necessary given your livestock and future plans 3. build whatever ancillary buildings necessary to support your efforts, e.g. tool shed, equipment/carport, etc Once you have 1 through 3 complete, time for a mini vacation! Don't know if in your community you can pick up day-loborers to help you when needed, but that might be a thought. Finally, with respect to the grain silo/tiny house, hire an architect who can help you lay out your "program" into a design. It's money well spent!

I would keep your animals you are attached to them I'm sure as they are to you. Seeing as you have the other property you can go there and rest up and recoup in between projects. It may mean taking a little longer for the house. Follow your hearts is the best advice I can give. Nothing is a sure thing we never know exactly what is right to do we just do our best. You have to vent once in awhile get things off your shoulders. Love you and danielle and all the animals. Good luck with your decision, praying for you.❤🙏

The baby goats all eating together were so cute! Yes, this weather has been something. We have 6 inches of snow here in my part of Missouri. You have a lot on your plate to do. It has to be stressful. There is nothing wrong with hiring some things done. Or even all of it. I've watched you for years and I know you take pride in doing things yourself but this is A LOT. I'm watching either way. Oh ... and I enjoyed the one take video.

"this to shall pass". you are hyper aware and must have either more than 5 senses or heightened senses. not much gets pass you, you seem to have eyes in the back of your head! you notice everything those dogs are doing. i love it! naw, don't get rid of your animals. just do the house as you can. fencing first. btw, that fence is beautiful!! the barn, same thing, piecemeal it if you choose. just throw some huts in there for now maybe. just try to relax your mind before you stress yourself into a heart attack or other health issues. you are doing GREAT! you and your Honey will have that needed time together soon. Love you guys. been watching you for years. Love your channel and your personalities. i agree, the weather has been totally rotten!! God Bless! its always the darkest before the dawn.❤👍

Don’t get rid of your animals. Get a dry erase board and prioritize, make fencing first and get help. Some other channels had fans help. After fencing work on your house but when you’re stuck on projects with the house, work on animals stuff. That’s how we did it. Prioritizing help us most.
