I worked in Korea for a few months and it was horrible. 1. I was told it was very normal to go the bathroom and cry for 5 min (due to stress, specially women) and then go back to work normally. 2. My boss there just scolded very harshly my coworkers in front of everyone (even though it was not their fault) but they didn't said anything, they just stood there looking at the floor. 3. You cannot leave early because they'll think bad about you and they expect you to arrive at least 15 min before to check. I see people being shocked about the 10 days for vacation... We only get 6 days per year here in Mexico. You get plus 1 for every year after the first one at your company until you reach 15 days, and that's the limit. Ps. Glad you set your mental and physical health as a priority. Don't worry, great things will come to your way ❤

Office work in Korea seems to be very strange. To work every day too long doesn`t mean to work efficiently. Korean bosses seem to be not able to understand it.

Don't be disappointed with your current situation in Korea these days. I think you can find better chance to make your own business soon. Try to trade Korean product in mother country and sell mother country's product in Korea, or triangular trade. Anyhow, be courageous and keep on challenge. You are young, and it's time for you to try, not to be disappointed.

I think this is my sign to quit my current job. I work as a financial analyst at a very prestigious company-these are the kinds of jobs every student in korea dreams of because society says it is the dream job. This has never been my dream job but I needed money so I took it. I live in the USA and I’m expected to be grateful because my company gives me 15 vacation days per year and 10 sick days which is more than the usual American companies give. It is not my dream job but it is a job that pays well enough. I use to live in Korea but I see a lot of similarities in both countries’ working culture. I am so glad you prioritized your health and thank you for not making me feel like a crazy person for wanting more vacation days 😂

You did a good job girl quitting the job.. our health should be our 1st priority.. when it comes to burnout, it’s really important to realise and know that you have those burnout symptoms. If you are in 1st stage of burnout, you can workout on it by leaving the job.. take time for yourself.. people tends to forget and neglect those Little symptoms of burnout, which can Leads to depression.. that’s the worst scenario. I’m so glad that you realise and took your health as 1st priority.. honestly the vacation system in Korea is worst. They to need to take that into account and should do little alterations. Luckily I have 1 and half month holiday every year and we can either take a whole together or separated. They pay also pretty good too.. we get like yearly salary increment too.. btw I live in Switzerland.🇨🇭 Girl I wish you all the best for coming challenge in your life. ❣️🌸😀🍀💐 Love and hugs 🤗

I can only imagine how hard it must be for a person that has kids, a father. Uff! Must of been hard. Like you say, a human being, can’t work like that, everything a person does, has to be done in moderation. If you work yourself out, the body will suffer. Imagine the drinking, there must be workers suffering of alcoholism. Na! Not good at all. Everything has it’s time and place. Hope you find something soon. ✌️ peace!

This is surprising. What Noah says? Three months ago - I got my dream job, now I quit. You convey all the time the impression everything is fine and so chill, and then it wasn`t a game ... was it honest? Not really... Sorry for saying that. However, I personally also have had this kind of situation, was mentally and physically down and had to quit my job - after 13 years in the company. You are young, looks perfect, smart - you will find your way. But be honest with you self.
