Summary [September 13, 2019]: People spend an average of 5 hours (300 minutes) per week (approximately 45 minutes per day on average) shopping online ; to 87% price matters ; to 80% shopping costs & speed of delivery matters ; to 71% discounts & coupon codes matters ; (by a business) $92 spent on generating traffic & getting customers but only $1 of that is spent on 'converting' potential customer to a paying customer ; 35% of customers are willing to pay for delivery on online orders & the remaining 65% are not willing to pay for delivery ; $0.56 of every $1 spent by a customer in an offline store is influenced by digital interaction ; 93% of an online shop's cart abandonment are due to potential customer seeing shipping costs at the final check-out stage

How would you offer free shipping if you have products that are between 10-25 dollars ? Do you have a Solution? Raise the prize for 5 dollars?

Fabian M. Upsell. Increase your Average Order Value. The most effective way? Offering the same product right after the purchase for a discounted price. Test it and you will see.

Fabian M. you can up sell a related product as well in order to increase the AOV. I recommend to test different products until you find which one works the best for you, but in my experience up selling the same product works the best. Otherwise in order to be able to scale an e-commerce business is important to have good margins so you can spend more money on acquiring a customer. At the end of the day, everything is about that. In e-commerce we need to think about our customers life time value. That's the way for building a long term successful e-commerce business. If your product doesn't have enough margin maybe is a good idea to increase the product preceived value or start thinking about another product to sell.

Tobias Hernandez okay thank you 🙏 What margin factor do you recommend? If I buy for 5 Euro and sell it for 25 euro. 5x margin is good? Because there are also logistic costs, fix costs for online shop, payment service etc.
