Nyachangkuoth Tai grew up in a South Sudanese family, where she had the opportunity to experience and understand her culture deeply. Early on, she noticed the different treatment of girls compared to boys in the South Sudanese community, as society imposed distinct restrictions on women. As she matured, Nyachankath initially pursued a career in banking. However, the conflict in South Sudan prompted her to shift her focus to peacebuilding.
Nyachangkuoth Tai is a seasoned peacebuilding master trainer and an avid storyteller. She serves as the Special Assistant to the Chairperson Advisor on Strategic Relations with the AU Policy Organs and Agencies at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa.
