As a Celtics fan, major respect to you. We needed to lose to you guys, and needed to overcome that adversity. It was the first time that group has ever made it to the Finals, and we were inexperienced, we needed that experience to know what it took to win. GS deserved that finals win, as heartbreaking as it was for us Boston fans. I agree y’all needed that win to end the KD narrative. Our story is our story, and your story is yours. Crazy shout out to Jrue. That guy was worth his weight in gold and then some. Guy doesn't get the stat lines, but every time a his team needs a big play he seems to find it. Whether it's a defensive steal/block, a high IQ shot or a good pass, Jrue just seems to find a way to shift or keep the momentum when it matters. Casual fans probably don't see it because it doesn't show up in his stat lines, but when you really watch the game Jrue was arguably the MVP of that Finals series. Not to mention that he was often the primary defender on Kyrie and pretty much locked up one of the most talented scorers in NBA history. That's a really special player.

You try, you learn, you tinker with the lineup and then sometimes it all falls into place. This is the starting five that needs to be preserved at all costs. Do not haggle with D. White on the extension just because he has another year under contract. Get it done as quickly as possible to have the best shot at securing the future. No disrespect to our bench at all as they made important contributions too, especially Big Al with KP injured during the playoffs run. I just think losing any of the starting five wrecks it. Very happy with the J. Holiday extension already secured. Cannot remember a guy in a single year have such a positive impact and he is Celtic family now.

to quote derrick white: "they talk about us not being battle tested - what do you think these past few years were?" the celtics HAVE been battle tested, and have come up empty every time. they won the nets series by a total of 14 points in four games, then play two 7 game series to reach the finals in 2022. compare that to the eventual winners: the warriors beat the nuggets in 5, grizzlies in 6 and mavs in 5. that's an easier path, and it showed when the celtics showed up gassed in the finals and curry turned into basketball god. you fight the battles before you win the war, and the celtics have finally won theirs. now their job is to stay on top
