'The Remnant ' is a masterpiece!!!!

Rather than sighting chapter and verse, Clifford Goldstein makes the case that the remnant is defined by not having incorrect doctrines like eternal damnation and Sunday keeping. Around minute 40:30 Goldstein claims that the remnant is not defined by holiness of the people but rather by having "this present truth." He states that this present truth should make us holier than others because we have "this light" (all the correct SDA doctrines). He then posits a long question which essentially asks that if you are disappointed that in what you find in your average SDA congregation, would you really ever consider joining any of the other Christian denominations that believe in those incorrect doctrines? (at minute 44:15 he asks "Where else are you going to go"). So according to Clifford Goldstein the Remnant doctrine is not the traditional SDA version like that as espoused by Stephen Bohr who utilizes Revelation 10 as defined by the writings of Ellen G White, but rather Remnant is having the correct doctrines (the "real truths"). Both of these SDA concepts are incorrect. To find out really what the Bible teaches about the concept of The Remnant (read Romans chapter 9 through 11 to get the full idea). Romans 11:5 states "So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace." True Israel is the vine that is kept by grace "And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace" (Rom 11:6). The believing gentiles who trust in this grace are grafted into the vine as the unbelieving Israel branches were broken off in disbelief. Thus the remnant is the True Israel of God who is in the vine of grace (Jesus) along with all those who have been grafted into it. Christ said in John 15: 5-8 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

This rubbish has poisoned our Church for the last 20 years as a chair of Sabbath School. Illuminate, as many others. When I confront him, he admits being wrong, but keeps on.
