I meet with Dana Dague from Palapa Boys Racing and we look at a couple of their iconic Nissan race trucks. Dana was a close friend of Spencer Low and has been collecting and restoring these race trucks in his shop in Southern California. The million dollar 91 Nissan Frontier race truck coined the “Scoop” truck was a project by Nissan in the early 90s to compete with Ivan Stewart in a number of desert racing series. The Scoop truck was recently obtained and restored by Dana and his team and was raced in the NORRA race in Mexico for its 30th anniversary. They unfortunately blew the motor on the 4th day of racing but the truck definitely made its mark and will be back in action for more races. This truck was meant to be a true Nissan Race truck legend and Dana has brought it back to be just that. We look forward to seeing this thing in a lot more races in the future.
