Apologies for the lack of uploads for the last week, I've been busy with irl stuff. After being gone for a bit, I thought the best way to come back was revisiting another TRTF fangame. This game is special for this channel as it was one of the first games that I played on the channel 4 years ago when I used to daily upload (for a short while). I played the main seven nights back then, but also returned to the game and tackled the custom night challenges back in late 2020 when I went back to somewhat complete FNaF fangames I kinda left behind (many of which I'll be returning to in the future).
This game takes place after what was meant to happen TRTF 5's good ending, following the fire at a factory. The 'Tortured' animatronics (as they're called) were pulled from the wreckage of the building and taken to a new location for storage. This new location is where we are - a museum and storage facility for preserving relics from Fazbear Inc. This place is relatively big, with two floors of relics. Out office is pretty big too, with 4 entrances for animatronics to enter - a hallway infront of us, a security door to the left and right of us, and a room behind us that can be accessed to get animatronics away from the stairway behind us. We have access to:
1. Multiple security cameras across the two floors to keep track of everyone.
2. A tracking system to see where animatronics are if we lose them.
3. A flashlight to get rid of those who appear behind us
4. Two security doors either side to block threats from entering
5. A desk we can hide under for those who attack from the front hallway
6. A signal corruption system to freeze animatronics
7. An audio lure in the cameras to keep animatronics in certain rooms
That all sounds like a lot, but sometimes you barely don't even use half of the mechanics
There are 8 animatronics in the main game - Lockjaw, Buster, Fang, Vigo, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. The ones here can attack from multiple ways, and those who don't have completely new mechanics - with Foxy attacking when his timer goes down, Vigo sending a virus to the main camera system, and Chica having to be lured by the audio. A lot of the Torture gang are left out, though we can assume that they never survived to factory demolition as the ones who are here (with the exception of Lockjaw and Foxy) are missing limbs and a lot of their outer shell. Chica probably sustained the most damage as she is now missing one of her feet and her one eye, making her completely blind (which is why the audio is required).
When working together, it can make nights difficult and quite tense at times - Vigo makes things way harder as he can appear twice in a row, effectively locking you out of the cameras for a while. Chica makes things more tense, however using the tracker and with the lure being quick at recharging makes things easier. The mechanics work well together, and I feel that adding another animatronic would make things a bit unfair if they were to have a new mechanic. I'm aware there's two new animatronics in the Custom Night, however since that is all customisable it isn't as much of an issue.
Overall, the game is pretty well put together - with a cool location, a pretty hectic (yet fun) office, a good variety of content to sit through (with seven nights, Custom Night, a Legacy Mode, and a Survivial Mode), a decent story showing events post-TRTF 5 (though let's face it, the TRTF story as a whole is a lost cause), a good roster of characters (even if I didn't particularly like some of the designs they still all make sense), and just in general it feels fun to play - it's not too hard, and the difficulty doesn't increase dramatically for no reason - it feels very balanced. This game is more special to me for reasons relating to this channel as it was one of the first games I played, with the Night 4 video getting quite a bit of attention when I released it (and by that, it got like 30 views in 2 days, which was big for me then). But I can recommend this game to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. So yeah, that's the game. Again, apologies for being gone for a short while, just had some stuff to take care of irl. I'm back now, and am aiming to try and get a complete list of all the games I want to revisit, along with those I want to try for the first time. The new RADSLA game looks pretty sick, and there's that FNaF: The Story 2 which recently released that I may try. So I've got quite a few options moving forward, which is exciting, and I hope you are all excited too
