😭 So much to unpack with Dr. Angelou's poignant monologue. One part summed up the entire struggle of the black man and the black woman. We need each other! The love is there and will ALWAYS be there. We simply have to heal and getting past the hate and dissatisfaction and disappointment that life has brought forth. That is the crux of the matter. Healing, actively loving and respectfully forging new bonds of strength and trust. Another point is with the destructive use of the N- word, how an arc from a casual cavalier almost acceptable term, to an evil debasing curse destroys a person and a race. More need to understand the power of words! I loved seeing this. Thank you for sharing. Very powerful!!

Pure genius. Now I see where Damon Wayans’ character Anton Jackson from In Living Color was based on. Richard was the original. ❤️

Wow John Belushi and such powerful pieces as this... Sadly in a documentary on the life and death of Robin Williams it does not even mention Williams pre mork performance in this short lived series...🤢

As I watched the Black Lady Sketch Show, I realized that the comedy on Key & Peele, too, was dark. This sketch from the RP Show was dark, but also poignant. It was balanced. The comedy of today needs more socially uplifting moments like this one. I imagine Dave Chappelle's comedy comes close to being socially uplifting while still being dark.

Too real for modern tv..this fed the mind and took the “boob” out of the tube..society would be better off with messages like this..but historically when “prime time” discoverers the masses are becoming wise THEY PULL THE PLUG 🔌

There was nothing funny about what Mrs Angelou said she summed up life in the rough for a Black man so accurately and it's so true and touching....a realistic view of what America has done to the Black Man
