Never tried it but for accuracy work you could use a standard cantilever scope mount, rigged "backwards" to give some clearance over the dust cover

That's exactly what I did with my Lee Armory OD-47, the Occam defense rail doesn't extend pass the dust cover so I had to improvise.

My reardan nitride brakes did back off too so you gotta break them in and they will stop. Thousands of rounds on 2 different brakes using there mount too. Just the first few hundred rounds keep an eye on it. Carbon and just taking can on and off will break it in and you won't have any issues. Reardan should tell people this...

Not to nit pick but....at the beginning of GWOT some 3rd Group friends did in fact use folded Aks as truck guns. As well as pistol grip only shotguns as truck guns. The idea was that mounted against motorcycles they were better than an M9. I've never personally fired an Ak from a vehicle but have seen that done a few times also.

nice piece sir, ur red dot is low enough for co witness irons, and maybe a handstop wouldn't hurt incase ur hand slips with the short barrel. sure that wasn't a baffle strike? maybe look down there with a flashlight just to make sure..

Seems a lot of the higher end AK companies focus more on looks than shooter experience. For example, these metal handguards look great but for heat, the magpul/polymer or full wood would come out ahead. I am not sure why Rifle Dynamics and Meridian haven't focused more on developing better handguard options.
