I was so, so fortunate to grow up in their era. I was 16 entering 1965 - the year this soul-wrenching performance appeared on Ed Sullivan. My reaction a moment ago was exactly the same as yours - hand and fingers on my head, trying to hold back tears of the joy of their great performance. Their music is deep within me, and many of my generation. We got some things right in our musical tastes, and they have endured for almost 60 years.

Loved this! Another great one from a little later in the 70's, is "ROCK AND ROLL HEAVEN" by the Righteous Brothers! Its a tribute song they did to some of the artists that passed too soon, but its upbeat, not sad. It's a great song, and they have long hair and are wearing bell bottoms! 🎵🎸💃

Great reaction.I like the live version a lot. Like it better than the studio version. I think the live version shows their vocals a lot better than the studio recording. If you can you should check out the original done by the great Roy Hamilton. He was one of Elvis's favorite singer. And was a big influence on Elvis. Here's a guy that should get reacted to but sadly isn't if you want to hear an incredible gospel operatic powerhouse of a voice.Just a few of his songs Don't let go. You can have her his version of unchained Melody recorded in early 1955 EbbTide So let there be Love which I think is one of his most beautiful recordings. listen to any of these songs or any of his other songs I guarantee you or anybody his will blow you the #@$& away✌️

And the first twit that says a word about you being racist for saying they sound black is gonna get a virtual kick in the arse from yours truly! 😬 People, quit being so overly sensitive! You were paying them a compliment! A funny story, and its not racist either, just funny!! Anyhow, back in the 80's a bunch of us were having a get together with adult beverages, 😉 and one of my friends was asleep on the couch. MTV was new, we had it on, a brand new heavy metal song came on that was kicking total butt called "Cult of Personality" by Living Color! It was the first time any of us had heard it and we were all glued to the tv because it was awesome, and the band was black! My friend on the couch's ears woke him up, and he rolled over to see the source of this song that was rockin out, and his eyeballs about fell out of his head, lol! His mouth was hanging open... it was very funny. We hadn't seen a black heavy metal band before. But it was a warm flattering feeling to know they liked this music too! It was joy. That's how it felt. Just pure joy that puts a big happy smile on your face! 😊🎸🎵💃
