Rodman's lower body strenght is amazing...he's able to contain Shaq in the post. Shaq bullies people for position but Rodman makes that difficult. Rodman can't defend against Hakeem and Ewing because they tended to shoot over the defender and Rodman's height was a problem for that but against bully pushing centers, his ability to hold his ground is amazing!

@@paulrichardson7277 Yes, Hakeems footwork and fadeaway means you need a tall guy with mobility to best contain Hakeem...but certainly need a tall guy. Rodman by his Bulls days was not the elite perimeter defender he was in the 80's and early 90's but his strength, agility, and defensive awareness still made him solid perimeter defender and really good post defender. Pistons Rodman is arguably the best defender of all time and an even better case for best versatile defender of all time. Funny enough, you mentioned Hakeem is one of your favorites. He and Bill Russell are probably the two best defensive players of all time. Hakeem was a really good defender, a GREAT help defender, and an amazing shot blocker and steal machine. He was 6'10, super agile, quick hops, quick hands, and great defensive awareness. Bill Russell seems the same from the videos I'v seen. I think Bill would be similar to Hakeem on defense if he played in the same era though Bill had issues with his offensive game.

THANKS TO THE ALPHA G🏀AT THAT AS SOON SAW PIPPEN TALKING THRASH ABOUT WHAT DENNIS DID TO HIM WHILE PLAYING WITH THE BAD BOYS PISTONS IN THE LATE 1980'S. TO M.J THE TREATMENT WAS WORST THAN PIPPEN AND NOT EVEN ONES M.J. TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PAST WITH DENNIS, AND IF YOU LOOK FOOTAGE FROM THOSE GAMES AT THE END OF THE GAMES, DENNIS SHOOK HANDS WITH M.J. AND THEY RESPECTED EACH OTHER SINCE THOSE DAYS...AND CONTINUE

Bruh this is why my starting 5 will have Dennis at power. I don't care about the rest. His defense and rebounding was so brilliant, I will pass on a scoring PF.

@@greezythumb feel you, imagine him with a prime Hakeem downlow…the only player I would consider in that 4 spot would be a prime KG with that length, shooting ability and incredible defensive versatility. Rodman was an animal like no other though.
