Saw them playing this song exactly one year later, in early September 1967, in Warsaw, Poland. I was just shy of my 15th B-day. Now -- THAT was a frigging concert at the grand auditorium of the Palace of Culture and Industry. The Stones played for about one hour and 15 minutes. The Stones with Brian Jones -- now THAT was the Stones.

What a perfect tune for a concert riot! Hilarious!! I went to a Rolling Stones concert at the Academy of Music in 1965 and something similar occurred. It ended after maybe 2 songs. Unforgetable!

Glorious Non- Reverse Firebird, Brian looking smart, it all works. Come on ABKCO & Stones’ camp - move forward with DeLuxe sets with singles, videos, alternate takes, and demos! It’s now or never considering prime demographics.

Saw this when it first aired on TV in 1966. This remains their definitive performance, as far as I am concerned.

@@user-xt8ij4wb5i Fair enough, but quite convincing for this fifth grader 😉 The way they synched up the middle eight with the live footage was surreal.

I think this is great. 1966 Rolling Stones were fantastic. Great front line of Brian, Mick and Keith. One of Charlie's best looks-I think the mustache suited him. "Sigh". A brilliant moment in the annals of time.

This is my third comment on this video you have to use your imagination picture of yourself being there. I’m sure it’s something that would stay with you for the rest of your life.❤

I like how back then in those early years of The Stones they would just literally let their fans maul them, they fast forward to the 80s and Keith Richards is smacking dudes around the head with his Telecaster who even dares to climb on stage. Lol

John Lennon was murdered by a fan in 1980. This had a lot to do with Keith's reaction on stage that you refer to which was less than a year later. Times had changed, sadly.

The world was a more formal place. Just look, the bouncers are in suit and tie. And the girls rushing Jagger et alia, don't even know what to do once they are grasping their idol. No girl even tries to kiss him. Things were just burstingout of us that we didn't understand.

Why doesn't someone colourise this video of the Stones? I have noticed other b/w footage of the Stones colourised which makes them look even more cool. Might even allow new fans to appreciate the Stones 60s music, more.

I’ve seen both the Stones and Zep up close and in their respective primes many times. Zep brilliant for what they do but The Stones are the embodiment of a rock and roll band. Late 20th century Beethovens or Sinatras or Presleys. Totally outclass LZ, posers by comparison.
