I’m Episcopalian and I pray the rosary I also ask for forgiveness through God alone and not any priest. I like how Episcopalianism is both Protestant and Catholic.

It's not Catholic, only protestant. You must confess your sins to a priest to be absolved. Turn to Christ's Church and reject Henry VIII fake church that he founded to commit adultery.

Thank you for this. I’m a Protestant, and I find such comfort in the Episcopalian faith. I recently had a profound vision with Mary in it, a vision that I needed to pray the rosary and I have been. And it’s really been helping me calm my chronic anxiety and find deep peace. God bless you. Sometimes I say Hail Mary and sometimes I just hold the rosary and ask for the Holy Spirit to comfort me, or I praise Jesus.

Well researched, beautifully presented, and winsomely informative! Father, do you know a book on the rosary by the late Church of England priest Robert Llewelyn, "A Doorway to Silence"? I wholeheartedly recommend. (I write as a Roman Catholic who prays both the Catholic and Anglican rosaries. Fr Llewelyn proposes methods and prayers that would be congenial for both.)

As a life long Episcopalian, I never had a problem with asking Our Lady to lead me to Christ Jesus. The traditional rosary has always been my “go to” with difficulties spiritually and worldly. Our Lady, to me, is a guide post and a gentle path to Jesus Christ. I always ask for her intercession and for her prayers for my journey to Jesus.

I always add the Fatima prayer after the Glory Be and also end the Rosary (after the Hail Holy Queen / Salve Regina), with the St. Michael the Archangel prayer. Thank you for the upload and God Bless

I Love the Rosary! A very powerful prayer. It's challenging because while praying the words, you have to meditate on the mysteries. It's the bible on beads! Pray the rosary..

Thank you for this lovely video and the affirmation that praying the rosary has many benefits in our lives. As an Episcopalian, raised by Mennonites, I have been praying the rosary for about 5 years and feel a deep connection to Mother Mary and the centuries of women who have prayed the rosary in many languages and countries to strengthen their connection to the Divine.

Thanks for inspiring me for using rosary in more individual and creative way, I mean, subjective but honest way. I would try doing that using Dominican tool, first introductory part just as in that traditional way, but five decades, I would try tonight with trisagion and my favorite verse from Psalam. It should be so much better than being distanced because of my heavy thought or attatchment that it should be done in certain well-known or even, authorized way. Why would I ? That’s why Protestantism is good.

Are you even reading the verses you are citing? "Do not keep on babbling like pagans FOR they think they will be heard because of their many words". In other words don't babble on and on thinking it gains extra favor the more elaborate your prayer is. I hardly think anyone is doing that with the Rosary. Rather it benefits the one praying to meditate on God's abundant grace!

This is not biblical, we don't worship God the way we want, but exactly how God told us to do. John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

I'm sorry but what? How is this unbiblical? You cited a text that seems completely unrelated. Why is having a set amount of prayers represented in beads immediately and indication that you aren't praying in the Spirit? Absolute nonsense! Your pfp is Martin Luther; Lutherans actually have a Lutheran Rosary as well!

We are not Roman Catholics. Vain repitions? Hardly. We don't need to pray the Rosary and a simple prayer from the heart is sufficient. Most of us don't pray it because it's association. Those that do, use it to focus and separate from distractions. It isn't the repetition that makes our prayer heard. I pray the Rosary using the JESUS prayer. I know that GOD hears my prayer the first time. But I get distracted easily and the Rosary helps me focus.
@tjs.5044

I don't agree with praying to Mary because I'm a Reformed Protestant not Episcopalian or Anglican. But vain repetitions? Have you heard a modern "worship" song? Repeating the same verse 20 times is not uncommon. That's vain. Because it's just emotionalism which take you out of your head rather than a deep mediation on the very words you say. I can see how the Rosary (save the Mary prayers) can actually be incredibly beneficial especially for young ones in the faith. I can also see how it CAN be or turn into a vain tradition full of repetition. But it's not necessarily a vain tradition either; it comes down to the heart of the one praying it!
